The results against Bang have been mostly due to their mental block. All teams win a couple of matches here and there, it was only a matter of time before Bang won. They are a decent ODI side and we have only 4 players from the team that played the WC QF.

I wouldn't even be worried if we lost the series tbh as long as we put up a fight and improve in the long run.

Totally agree, people here don't realize a match winner isn't the person who the winning runs but the person who sets the stage. Sachin is an opener, by giving a steady start and explosive starts on many occasions he has given his team the stage to finish - that's a match winner. His strike rate and average shows that he hit boundaries at will and rotated strike without an effort. This allowed other players to give the freedom to finish the game.
In wc 2011 final, dhoni gets a lot of crebut , but was he the match winner? It was gambhir who's innings set the stage.
Don't expect sachin to open the innings and hit the winning runs to be called amatch winner, he started the innings played the toughest overs and made sure he left often with his team in a better position
