Farhan needs to understand that there seems to be very little appetite for an opener maintaining a strike rate of 65-70, especially given the options we already have. With players like Imam-ul-Haq and Abdullah Shafique capable of playing similar innings, it’s important to consider how he can add more dynamism to our starts.

I think showing a bit more urgency would really help set the tone for the rest of the side. There’s a lot to learn from Maaz Sadaqat, who has truly exemplified the modern way of batting in limited overs cricket—his proactive style and ability to accelerate made a real difference in the previous game.
