BBC News Urdu: Why Turkey went jeevay Pakistan to Pakistanis get out?

Pakistani men posted videos (20 in one day alone) on TIkTok where they followed/stalked and/or disrespected Turkish women.

One followed a woman walking for 100s of meters from behind, camera in hand. In another video, they threw coins at a cashier so she would have to bend to pick them up, filming her the whole time.

The videos are on Twitter for everyone to see. Very disgusting and creepy!

Didn't Pakistani men and youth get disappointed when one of the Ertugul actresses wore her normal clothes?

It's expected when all the youth has done last 10 years is either sit in dharnas all day, listen to cult dialogues, watch Ertugul and become obsessed with TikTok.

Disgusting but not surprising.

Sadly some folk are like animals when released out of a cage.

What it has to dharna? It's the educational system and deep rooted cultural hings which no body has worked on , in fact Zia give them more fire.

Majority of these people are probably namak haram afghanis on fake passports or paindus from mandi bahuudin and gujrat area seeking fortunes abroad . Unfair to tarnish the image of whole of pakistan for certain groups of low class people.

Why would a political figure go out of his way to endorse a TV series as part of his campaign and encourage the cult? Is this common practice?

Doesn't matter how informative a TV program is- when it is mixed with politics, and when there are masses who will blindly follow what is being said to them and start worshiping- there will be aggressive consequences. Especially when you promote a TV series character as a bona fide hero.

This is where IK doesn't realise, and comprehend on where to keep the mouth shut when being in position of power and influence.

Think about it with an open mind rather than respond back with negativity instantaneously.

Visit Turkey and find out for yourself. You will be greeted warmly when you mention you are Pakistani. Especially in Istanbul.

They are from Pakistan as I saw the videos. It is not a conspiracy to defame Pakistan. When Pakistanis go overseas, they are shocked and astounded as they have never such women showing skin in Pakistan. It is a huge shock!

It is the same here in Hong Kong. Whenever a Pakistani comes here, it takes him a few weeks to get over the fact that women here wear shorts and skirts.

The sad fact though is that it doesn't matter where they are from Pakistan, people will just see them as Pakistanis.

I recall going to a music festival a few years ago where a bunch of Asian guys were harassing women whilst walking around with a Pakistan flag. These idiots obviously thought they were doing the nation proud.

It didn't take long for the police to take them away and put them in the van.

Ertugrul promotes Islamic values which are no less than honour, courage and respect for all decent citizens regardless of creed or religion. Imran Khan himself believes in these values and that is why he promoted the show.

Now we have a govt which believes in lakshmi, i.e. money above all else. What can you expect from such people?

A drama that has tribalism, blood, murder, conquest, and wars, masqueraded under pious religion-ism. It is one thing to recommend it, but completely different to urge/enforce it without understanding the consequences. This drama has resulted in an increase of moral policing of Pakistanis and has gone reverse into the 'teaching respect' philosophy that you're stating. Rather than teach respect, the awaam is busy disrespecting everyone that doesn't suit their style.

When you get people hooked on fake history, and a drama series that has distorted facts and biased toward promoting Turkish nostalgia for the lost empires- it will create aggression. And this thread OP is the ultimate result.

Fake historical facts, but real deportation and difficulties for the common man.

There's no need to bring corruption in every argument, because the government that is running your country is also corrupt. And has indulged in various scandals and fraud. You need to counter on how to improve this reputational damage that Pakistanis have caused by acting in aggressive moral policing and making a fool of themselves on a global scale. The aggression, that started by repeatedly being brainwashed into watching the show, and for having this as a prime-time soap opera on local TV.

Just to set the record straight, I am British. When you talk about "your country" are your referring to Britain? It would also provide some needed context to state your own country and the flag you raise,so we can understand where you are coming from. I think this is only fair once you have referred to my nationality.

Always amusing to see certain posters run for cover once the Great British flag is raised.

Rather than answering the question you're waving the GB flag on insecurity. You're British, we get it. Lol. No one gives 2 hoots about that on this thread, and hence I did not bother commenting.

Some buffoons do something and it becomes fault of Etrugul and Imran Khan? The anti Imran brigade are hilarious. Not that I have seen Etrugul but this is beyond stupid when you blame jalsas and Entugul on what some desperate perverts do.

Such folks exist because of lack of education and common sense because that's what you get when you keep bringing leaders who are jahil, uneducated, choor criminals and sad part is when you see educated citizens all out supporting these family of chuurs and looking for excuses to blame Imran for anything and everything. If anything Imran spoke of common sense, education, asked citizens to act as good Muslim and become role models for others, so it's disgusting when some posters twist things around.

As for these desperate freaks, throw them behind bars then throw them back to Pakistan and plaster their pictures all across Pakistani media or wherever they are from so they face humiliation for life.

You were the one who pointed fingers (erroneously) to my country so let's get that out of the way first. Talking about insecurity I see you still haven't raised your own flag, although I aready have a good idea which it is. Once you've done that we can get to the miserable points you raised.

Ertugrul was a barbarian. A looter and a plunderer and the tv show itself is just a fictional glorification.

The fact that deluded khan promoted this as some historical account of Ottoman history with educational value was comical.

This show was forced down the throats of the nation and Ertugrul became a national hero. Our deluded and embarrassing nation cannot distinguish between the actors and the characters; they have been moral policing the actors on social media and they think they have to live their lives according to Islamic values just because they were a part of the Ertugrul series.

If you are embarrassed by your nation, it is because you care too much about outsider's opinions, or perhaps you wish to promote on their behalf. Your points don't even make sense. First you say it was forced down the throats of the nation, then you say Ertugrul became a national hero. How many people are forced to hero worship anyone?

That some folk can't distinguish between actors and real life is just a reflection of how simple people are in Pakistan. There are just as many dumb people in other third world countries like India or Zimbabwe for example. You do understand that right?

Most of the illegals are on their way to Western European countries like England and France. Turkey is just a temporary halting place. These people are very brave to even undertake such arduous journeys.

This post makes zero sense.

PAKISTANI STUDENTS BEING ABDUCTED IN TURKIYE, VIDEOS SURFACE

The activities of a gang of human traffickers involved in abducting and extorting Pakistani students in Turkiye have been unearthed following the surfacing of videos, ARY News reported on Sunday.

A gang involved in abducting Pakistani students for ransom has been unearthed after the surfacing of videos in which youths were seen captivated and tortured by the alleged abductors in Turkiye.

A Pakistani student namely Noman Altaf, 17, from Khanewal was allegedly abducted in Turkiye. The gang abducted Noman by offering him to transfer to Europe and Athens for a better future and later received extortion from his family.

Eight more students from Pakistan have faced the same trouble who went to Turkiye for academic purposes. The victims have been abducted and tortured by the abductors in Turkiye. The abductors sent their videos to demand extortion from their families.

Pakistani officials advised the students in Turkiye to focus on their studies and never pay attention to the offers of any gang to avoid facing such a situation.

Earlier in November, a Pakistani citizen namely Muhammad Khalil had allegedly been abducted by unidentified men in Iran’s capital Tehran during a business visit.

A Pakistani citizen, Muhammad Khalil, was allegedly abducted by unidentified men during a business visit to Tehran and the abductors demanded $3,000 from the family to release him.

He said that the family wrote a letter to the Foreign Office (FO) and the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation to recover Muhammad Khalil after his abduction in Iran.
