Didn't Pakistani men and youth get disappointed when one of the Ertugul actresses wore her normal clothes?
It's expected when all the youth has done last 10 years is either sit in dharnas all day, listen to cult dialogues, watch Ertugul and become obsessed with TikTok.
What it has to dharna? It's the educational system and deep rooted cultural hings which no body has worked on , in fact Zia give them more fire.
Majority of these people are probably namak haram afghanis on fake passports or paindus from mandi bahuudin and gujrat area seeking fortunes abroad . Unfair to tarnish the image of whole of pakistan for certain groups of low class people.

Why would a political figure go out of his way to endorse a TV series as part of his campaign and encourage the cult? Is this common practice?
Doesn't matter how informative a TV program is- when it is mixed with politics, and when there are masses who will blindly follow what is being said to them and start worshiping- there will be aggressive consequences. Especially when you promote a TV series character as a bona fide hero.
This is where IK doesn't realise, and comprehend on where to keep the mouth shut when being in position of power and influence.
Think about it with an open mind rather than respond back with negativity instantaneously.
Ertugrul promotes Islamic values which are no less than honour, courage and respect for all decent citizens regardless of creed or religion. Imran Khan himself believes in these values and that is why he promoted the show.
Now we have a govt which believes in lakshmi, i.e. money above all else. What can you expect from such people?
A drama that has tribalism, blood, murder, conquest, and wars, masqueraded under pious religion-ism. It is one thing to recommend it, but completely different to urge/enforce it without understanding the consequences. This drama has resulted in an increase of moral policing of Pakistanis and has gone reverse into the 'teaching respect' philosophy that you're stating. Rather than teach respect, the awaam is busy disrespecting everyone that doesn't suit their style.
When you get people hooked on fake history, and a drama series that has distorted facts and biased toward promoting Turkish nostalgia for the lost empires- it will create aggression. And this thread OP is the ultimate result.
Fake historical facts, but real deportation and difficulties for the common man.
There's no need to bring corruption in every argument, because the government that is running your country is also corrupt. And has indulged in various scandals and fraud. You need to counter on how to improve this reputational damage that Pakistanis have caused by acting in aggressive moral policing and making a fool of themselves on a global scale. The aggression, that started by repeatedly being brainwashed into watching the show, and for having this as a prime-time soap opera on local TV.
Always amusing to see certain posters run for cover once the Great British flag is raised.
Rather than answering the question you're waving the GB flag on insecurity. You're British, we get it. Lol. No one gives 2 hoots about that on this thread, and hence I did not bother commenting.
Ertugrul was a barbarian. A looter and a plunderer and the tv show itself is just a fictional glorification.
The fact that deluded khan promoted this as some historical account of Ottoman history with educational value was comical.
This show was forced down the throats of the nation and Ertugrul became a national hero. Our deluded and embarrassing nation cannot distinguish between the actors and the characters; they have been moral policing the actors on social media and they think they have to live their lives according to Islamic values just because they were a part of the Ertugrul series.
