from top of my head, srinath's fourteen wickets in the 1999 calcutta test match. he was absolutely unplayable in that match. his contribution should have been enough were it not for the dropped catch.
in the first innings, india had a very strong pakistani line-up floundering at around 30/6 before a fighting 60 by moin enabled pak to gain some respectability. thanks to srinanth, pak started poorly in the second innings as well and would have likely folded had azhar not dropped saeed anwer of srinanth when s.a. was in mid20s. from that point on, saeed anwar would go on to play one of the greatest test innings by a pakistani. pattern of this match would be repeated few years later in karachi where india again had pak down at around 50/6.
overall, warne - the drugs cheat. he was even immense in the 1994 tour before he was really famous. pakistani batsmen who played him well were salim malik and younas khan. saeed anwer did ok against him. made likes of azhar mehmood and razzak look like clueless bunnies. played a big part in ending basit ali's career when bowled basit ali between his legs. this was the last ball of the day before which warne had called healy for a conference. not sure what they discussed but warne claimed later that it was dinner plans. basit ali could not live this down for quite a while.
honourable mention to mcgrath and alan donald - i can recall a test match in s.a. where even top order batsmen were scared of facing him. also from stories, apparently sylvester clarke proved to be a real demon during a tour of pakistan.
