"Biggest problem for Pakistan right now is they are not in form" : Misbah-ul-Haq

Misbah was a better captain than Sarfraz.

He won us series against SA in SA and WI in WI.

Not to forget what he was in Test Cricket.

And Sarfraz has won us a CT.

What a clueless guy. The other day he was criticising Aamir. The only thing Misbah was good at was winning test matches in the UAE with spinners and with Yk scoring heavily. One drawn series in England doesn't make him a great test captain. Was even worse in ODI cricket and even the few wins Pakistan had under him was thanks to a chucking ajmal and hafeez.

Sarfraz is an average captain himself but given ajmal , Afridi and hafeez even he could have had a few more wins.

And that's clearly Inzi's fault so why are you blaming Sarfaraz who in fact was dropped to try the said combinations.

captain is to be blamed.

At the end, its the captain and the coach who could request the series to be a try out or to be the final preparation series.

If we look back to 2011 world cup. Pakistan had a good run in that world cup, and the main reason for that was the series bfore the world cup which was against New Zealand. In that series they found out a tactic and strategy that they polished and decided that they would be using it in the world cup.

ok, sarfraz has got Imad, Shadab and Hafeez. Now plz win us matches. Oh wait, we just lost 11 in a row, 5 under sarfraz.

Its easy to make such statements if you dont bother to watch the game or even remember it.

There was a proper way of utilizing Hafeez, and that was opening the attack with him in some places or bringing at the time when a new batsmen would come in and you would bring the runrate down and make the chase more difficult.

Pakistan got spanked by England, and look at what South Africa did. THey opened there attack with Imran Tahir, the guy gets a wicekt 2nd ball upfront.

As for Ajmal, back in 2011, when Misbah saw Ajmal wasn't spinning the ball that much he was giving more preference to Abdur Rehman. I remember there were matches where Rehman got selected in place of Ajmal.

So you see it isn't about a single players brilliance, its about how you use them.
and i remember on Pakpassion, people used to bash him for playing 2 spinners in UAE, and that was until England came got defeated 3-0 that people shut there mouth.

Before Misbah you guys didnt even know that playing 2-3 spinners in a match is effective.

Sarfraz has imad, shadab and hafeez, go for it.

Very well said. You need to post more often.

Can't believe how quickly all you Pakistanis have turned on your tem, I am Aussie and have stuck fast with our team, we have gone through horrors in the last 3 years but we have come out of it stronger and better than ever.

But Pakistani fans seem to have thrown out the baby with the bath water, you guys have no faith in your team.

Well, when your team serves up the kind of performance that happened on the 31st May, you can give the fans leeway to be furious.

Nothing is working right now for our boys. We dropped a game to Afghanistan, and we got routed by West Indies. Just typing that makes me sad.

Very well said. Ex Pak captain Asif Iqbal was also very upset at Misbah, saying that he's totally clueless when he bashed the only player who contributed in the match.

I sincerely hope Misbah is not given any leadership role at the PCB. He would make our team even more mediocre.

A day before India’s ICC World Cup 2019 opening match against South Africa on Wednesday, former Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq gave a huge compliment to MS Dhoni. Heaping praise on Dhoni, Misbah chose him as his idol in the Indian team.

Misbah was asked to pick his idol from the Indian side during a World Cup special show on India Today. The former Pakistan captain first took Tendulkar’s name, mentioning the little master as his batting idol but was quick to change his choice to Dhoni overall. “As a batsman, I would pick Sachin Tendulkar. But I would go with MS Dhoni overall,” said Misbah.

The right-hander who led Pakistan to the quarter-finals of the last edition of World Cup said Dhoni’s captaincy changed the face of Indian cricket. “I’m choosing Dhoni because of the change and the achievement that Indian cricket witnessed under his captaincy. There are no doubts that there have been big names who cannot be forgotten like Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly but I still believe whatever India has achieved under Dhoni are very big achievements,” added Misbah.

The 37-year-old former India captain is playing his last ODI World Cup and he comes into the tournament high on confidence. Dhoni struck a brilliant 113 in India’s second warm-up match against Bangladesh to lead his side to 359 despite losing four wickets cheaply.

Though Dhoni did not keep wickets for the entire duration of India’s two warm-up games, he is certain to don the gloves when India start their World Cup 2019 campaign against South Africa on Wednesday.
