Babar Azam opens in List-A almost all the time. Averages 45+. Has a proper technique. But obviously there must be a logical reason for opening with the guy who looks like he is facing swing bowling for the first time.

I agree with OP's statement. I don't blame Bilal for this. Extremely dumb thinking by whoever had this brainwave.
