Blessing Muzarabani dumps PSL for IPL, joins KKR for 2026

Why? what if country's laws supercede ICC directives? isn't that the argument you make when it suits you? Suck it up butter cup. you and the country you support is going down a spiral with no hope.

If the equivalent FIFA rules stand up fine in countries with developed employment rights, then they'd be just fine being applied by the ICC in all cricketing nations.

so soverign countries have to bend to sports cartels becos "developed" countries do do? developed countries like US? Happens on a regular basis.

Unless you are thinking like the backwaters of britain.

Reasonable punishments being in place for a player who unilaterally violates a contract is not bending to a sports cartel. The very fact that FIFA apply equivalent punishments show that it's not illegal across the majority of the world. The fact you're a racist doesn't change that.

You mean teh FIFA which granted the Orange clown the peace prize? That FIFA? Sure, great example to emulate

BTW, Don't run from the WCA topic.

Are you aware of what a strawman argument is? What on Earth does any of that have to do with whether the rules FIFA have had in place around the world for years are legal or not.

It means FIFA wil make up rules as it sees fit and as it suits it and there is no reason to follow FIA example.

I know you were bit thick...but...

Your issue was around the legality of such a rule. The equivalent FIFA rule has been in place globally for decades demonstrating there is no issue with the legality of it.

PCB reminds me of Trump :) Just file a complaint just for kicks

PCB Breach of Contract Penalties & Consequences:
  • 1-Year Ban: Players who withdraw from their signed PSL contract to play elsewhere, such as the IPL, face a ban from the next edition of the competition.
  • Legal Action: The PCB is prepared to take legal action against players for violating the terms of their contract, aiming to recover damages for the breach.
  • Formal Notice: Players receive a formal legal notice demanding an explanation for breaching their contractual obligations to a PSL franchise.
  • Deterrence Action: The PCB's strict stance, often spurred by overlaps between the PSL and IPL seasons, is designed to ensure players maintain their commitments to the league.

Or no one aggressively challenged it. knowing the way FIFA operates.

The regulations have been challenged in courts multiple times over those decades. The regulation around players unilaterally terminating their contract still stands.

Do you Even what is his IPL salary compared to PSL?

Salary comparison:
- PSL salary: ₹36.44 Lakhs (≈ PKR 1.22 Crore)
- IPL salary: ₹9.20 Crore (≈ PKR 30.8 Crore) in the Indian Premier League

The gap is over 25× more money… lol

No matter what the Pakistan Cricket Board does, it’s unlikely that Blessing Muzarabani will be too worried about it. Even if they ban him from the Pakistan Super League for the next few seasons, the financial difference makes the decision pretty clear.

:klopp :kp
Isn't his salary 75 lac inr?

Wow Zimbabwe's GDP graph might have a kink upwards just because of this one deal.

After blessing and Spencer johnson....Baartman also withdrew from PSL.......... PCB need to do something about it next year or just go back to Feburary window.......

Not so difficult, just pick another window. Will also increase chances of signing good players.
Now they are giving almost same amount of money as SA20 soo go back to Feburary window in good weather and hope for best.....I don't think by this rate franchises will field even 4 foreign players........

Aaron hardie who was direct signing of Peshawar zalmi now most likely going to SRH as Jack edwards replacement..... 😂 at this rate I think only local boy will be remain...

Cricketers career is short. Especially fast bowlers. They have to make the most of it. Most of them can settle for life if they have one good season.

A window between September and November should be experimented with.

PSL is a laloo panju league in front of IPL. There is no comparison even in terms of scale or quality of players. I am not sure why Pakistanis keep on competing against a behemoth, keep losing and then crying about it.
It is like a local 5 people Software company in Karachi trying to compete with Google and Microsoft, losing out and then crying.

Ab ye Pakistanis ko kaun samjhae.. Even if IPL peaks at say 25 Billion dollars.. PSL will never surprass of even come near it. Just the size, scale, ambition of the two different countries and markets. They just cannot stay happy in their little lane.

It is clear you have zero clue about cricket. Go educate yourself before making wild claims

A replacement player will not get the same amount as the one he replaced. This is common knowledge.

In most cases the replacement will get the base price he listed himself at the auction plus perhaps a small cherry on top.

That is even worse scenario for PSL. The foreign players run away from Pakistan as soon as there is a small cherry + base price. PSL is not able to compete on that despite being around 10 years.

PSL management has to think about a new strategy because there is no way a player will prefer PSL over IPL money.. These guys cannot risk IPL contract money for PSL... Simple fact.

PCB should look for an alternate window instead of fighting with IPL.

It s not just contract money. It is about opportunity to estbalish yourself in the IPL set up for long period. I bet they would even play for even less. Many guys started with peanuts. After one good season their value goes through the roof. You are settled for life.

It’s hilarious, but PSL is now just a replacement pool for IPL players. If someone gets injured in the IPL, the replacement is picked from the PSL.

Oh, right, PSL is just a replacement pool… that’s why IPL teams keep raiding it like a supermarket aisle whenever they run out of talent. PSL grows the players, IPL just rents them.

With too many leagues, and PSL and IPL being in the same time..
The ICC should be encouraging the leagues to properly compete and not let monopoly dominate.. If someone pulls out of IPL just to play PSL or leave PSL for IPL, there should be a no-compete clause... just like we have in professional wrestling contracts.

If I am one of the foreign players that pulls out of IPL for any reason like "personal" reasons, there should be a clause that can't play in any league for X number of months..

Yes PSL is growing Maxwell, Warner , zampa, Conway , Faf , marnus etc. ..:klopp :kp

Imposing ban on players who withdraw at the last minute is not the ICC's job, but the respective league's. The IPL has already imposed a two-year ban if a player pullout die to personal reasons after signed by IPl Franchisee Brook has already been banned for two years.

Yes PSL is like a feeder league to IPL now. Cheers.

I was never in favour of we directly competing with IPL. Only some chomu Pakistanis thought it was a good idea. This is what i feared might happen. We have been officially turned into IPL's feeder league. Even in the middle of the tournament, the IPL can disrupt any PSL team by asking a player to join them immediately. Its both embarrassing and devastating for our league and we cannot let it happen.

I'd much rather compete head to head with other leagues.

ANOTHER PLAYER LEAVES PSL FOR IPL 🚨l

Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka has decided to pull out of the Pakistan Super League and join the Indian Premier League 2026.

:kp

PSL needs to make a significant move now. Either move the league away from IPL window to compete with low ranked leagues Or, stick in the current window firmly and handover bans / fines to players for withdrawing from the league after signing.

Maxwell is not coming to play PSL atleast for first half of the PSL due to current situation. ..:kp

If they handover bans, no half decent foreign player will even think of signing up for PSL. They'd much rather be in the reckoning for an IPL spot in case of an injury than sign up for a league that can ban them anytime.

PSL is no position to hand out bans unless it wants the league to be filled with "overseas" players from UAE, Oman and Nepal.

This Muzarbakarkhani has made a dangerous enemy by messing around with PSL. Hope he is willing to look over his shoulder for the rest of his career. A prime target for no-look sixes by Men In Green from here on out.

Has done well with 4fer.s Now he has played two matches. That is 14 lakhs match fee alone in addition to his 75 lakhs. It comes to 89 lakhs now. It will go hiher more the match he plays.

Yes he is thinking how PSL missed out on bowlers like Ghazanfar Payne Shephard etc or the washed up players losing matches for their teams he must be getting jealous PSL needs such talent to increase its quality. :kp :klopp :inti
They all would have wrecked havoc on terrible psl batters :shadab

We wish him well.
Indians shamelessly bring money into everything when it comes to cricket but don't talk about it in other aspects of life as per which they remain one of the worst, dirtiest, uncivilized countries on the plnet by far. Indians are also the posterboys for stench globally.
