BLOOD clotting is a normal response to injury. Sometimes, however, it can lead to cramps, pain and swelling, and if it enters the circulatory system, it can be fatal. In a small study, one popular breakfast food has been linked to the condition.

Blood clots typically form in the veins of the legs, arms, groin. It is when they break off and travel to other parts of the body, such as the lungs, that they pose a risk. Typically risk factors for blood clotting include surgery, cancer, and pregnancy. The findings from one small study, however, imply that a nutrient found in eggs and meat may also increase the risk of blood clotting.

The study conducted by Cleveland Clinic, suggested that choline could make the blood more prone to clotting.

I think I will ignore this study. Will you stop or reduce eating eggs and if not what is your fav way of eating eggs?

I prefer boiled, omlette, poached and with a paratha fried.

I love boiled eggs and fried eggs and omelettes.

Don’t think I will cut down. Something has to kill me.

Remember everytime you eat an egg, it is the foetus of another animal. Quite gross when you think about it. Which is why I never consume it directly.

Now that this study has come out, I will phase it out completely.

Are you vegetarian? Egg is there in pretty much everything when you eat outside.

I wonder how scientists find the correlation between the compound and blood clotting?

And I was told I need to eat a egg everyday by science.

Science may tell you one thing today and completely different thing tomorrow. Science is a bit like those COVID "experts".

Anyway, I eat one egg a day. I have no intention to stop it.

Many of these researches are funded by big corporations. Don't care too much about these reports.

I remember reading that Coffee is good for health. Then I read that it is bad for health. Then again I read it is good for health. Each time the research team comes up with new findings.

I read a article saying every 7 years we get a study saying coffee is good and then a study saying why coffee is not good. Its takes 7 years to actually see the effects of coffee. Not able to find that article now.

Pretty much everything you do in a day is a result of this 'science'. Nothing in your or anyone else's religious books would help you with them. So....:afridi1

How is this worse than eating a grown chicken or any animal? Eggs are a stable diet in every culture on the planet.

Agree. It could also be because there is an egg shortage in the UK atm.

I can’t remember the last time I had a egg. I don’t miss it.

I always thought everyone apart from vegans eat eggs. Interesting.

It along with mutton are the only things i miss since i became vegetarian.. somehow eventhough i consumed a lot of chicken never missed it.
