Boycott Murree

People from Islamabad have started a protest against Murree, where they are asking people to boycott going to murree( a hill station)

This boycott has started because of the way the murree locals treat the tourists. There are lots of videos of the locals scuffing even on the smallest issue with tourists.

There is no hospitality

As the police doesn't bother to take action, the local population of Islamabad and Rawal pindi have started this boycott. And it looks like it is having an effect as the ASP of murree had to gather with his police force and the Traffic pollice to give out a video msg on facebook that Murree is safe there isn't any problem here for any tourist.

Infact, the police folks were seen giving out fake flowers to the tourist in an effort to promote hospitality.

Murree is very close and travelling to this place is cheap and easily accessible for pindi and isloo folks.

Keep your trash with you in a bag until you get back to your hotel, or if your only there for the day, keep it with you until you go back home.

Bro i study at a university which doesnt have a single recycling bin in the campus. Infact they barely have garbage bins either.

People say oh you can carry the trash and throw it when u find a bin, but literally there aint any trash bin in miles in most places

Muree is a paradise on Earth, although I do recall even as a youngster some of my elders having issues with the locals there but I don't really know how big of an issue it is if one at all.

If there is no disposal facilities, my point is if people made it an issue, then the politicians would have to do some work on it.

If people can come out and protest in other causes (some as useless as defending a murderer) then they should come out to protest the lack of disposal facilities too.

If not, keep your trash in shopping bags and take it home with you, dont litter in the open like this.

Either way, no excuse for littering like this.

Maree isn't a abandoned street or a highway where you have to wait to get to rest stop to dumb your garbage, it is a city, there should be proper means to dispose garbage and that is local government responsibility.

No sane person should ever visit Murree with his/her family. There are plenty of other better places to visit.

Murree has been awful since the 80's, but even Nathiagali is heading that way, although it is still far better. Dunga Gali and Changla Gali are much better options for holidaying and even investment.

Nonetheless, it all comes down to personal preference eventually. A lot of people find the Galis depressing, so they end up having a good time on Murree Mall road.

The last time i visited muree i got a room for 4000 pkr per night . the manager said it is a beutiful room with great view. after getting the room the view of the mountains was so far from the room that you cant see it and instead there we underwears of ladies and gents hanging right infront of the window,

My God, I feel sorry for these beautiful places in the North, look what we desis have done, ruining Gods creation with such mess and no this does not happen everywhere, visit the swiss alps or Canadian rockies, there are no garbage cans, yet tourists are aware not to throw stuff, they put their garbage inside their cars, they don't damange the environment. We desis have no manners and respects for the environment or anything for that matter, we have ruined our countries. I remember a documentary showing how Indians have ruined the beauty of Kashmir with so much garbage everywhere. It is times like these I wish that these places up north were separate from us, I wish British could have given them separation from us Jahils. They could have easily made a country called Dardistan up there (including all of Kashmir), I believe there was a movement for it for a while
