So we hear the $2.1 Billion number for aid being withheld.

With 70K Pakistan lives lost, I think a $30k is the price of each Pak life is about US$30k which is good to hear

Many thanks Chacha Sam for this appreciation. Yes, you can keep that money as the price of life for my brothers and sisters cannot equal any amount that you can think of.

That's one way to look at it. Funny but has definitely made my mood better with regards to the whole situation.

On a serious note, Pakistan was forced into someone else's war that has led to repercussions and a lot of money lost. The US still owes 70 billion dollars for forcibly hiring the "mercenary" Pakistani army.

Many of the 2000's problems in Pakistan have been due to the so called war on terror, uncle sam can take their moronic comments, turn that SOB side ways and stick it straight up the place where the sun don't shine.

Pak had been thriving prior to 9/11 and was in a much better place, plus it was often one of the most preferred locations to visit from the POV of tourists; I know many Englishman who have visited Pak extensively in the 80s and 90s.

Sure, Pak have not helped themselves when it comes to their leadership but it would be naive to play down the US's negative impact.

Our politicians set the price. Don't blame the Americans.
