Has been top scorer with most no of centuries and he always puts in match winning performances since 2010. Check the stats before jumping the gun.
This thread is to simply discuss how he can put in more match winning performances for Pak. Believe it or not, he is here to stay at least untill WC 2019. And out of Malik and Hafeez, I would definitely pick Hafeez.
Here is how i would utilise him.

Hafeez just needs the shine taken off the ball so I'd have him Bat 6 and get him to finish the innings off. Been pushed to no.5 from opening spot. Just need one big brave call from Micky and Sarfaraz to push him down one more.
Can hit a loooong ball and is comfortable against spinners also. We saw in the CT final what he is capable of and in the 4th odi against NZ. If he can bowl, that is a bonus but I feel he could be the best finisher in the current squad.
If only someone could get this message accross to the think tank.

And no bashing please and stay on topic.

Thank you

Being a finisher requires mental strength.

Hafeez doesn’t have this :). MMHS

he should be utilised as a hitter so no use of playing him at 4 or 5 where he kills the momentum of the game completely.. play him at 6 or 7 as he can do that job easily..

That 57*(37) has fooled everyone.

actually i dont even want to see him in the team.. but as our management is dumb enough so they will not drop him and sadly his berth for cwc 19 is confirmed.. we have to play him so instead of placing him where he kills the momentum of the game, we should bat him where his job is just to tonk the ball nothing else..

He needs to bowl again to be useful to the team.

yes. Play him against lower ranked teams at home once we have won the series. The slightest amount pressure means he collapses completely

Please suggest a how you would utilise him. He is playing for sure so go on sir!

National Treasure blessed in all facets of the game therefore I would use him as an opening batsman and bowler, and have him field at 1st slip.

Wouldn’t do worse than Azhar

:salute

Joking aside, I laughed when reading and still laughing as I type. Humorous!
Was expecting a serious response. I'm still laughing man. That was hilarious whether intentional or not.

Impressed with the responses. Keep them up.
Lower middle order like below would be perfect for WC 2019:

6. Hafeez
7. Yamin
8. shadab
9. Faheem
10. Hasan
11. Irfan/Junaid/shinwari

Hafeez should come in after Sarfraz, I think that's the ideal position for him.

If he plays, should play at 6 so he has to hit from ball one. Consumes too many dots at 4 or 5.

If he retires from cricket, it would be consider as his best utilization.

Yeah of course we can utilize him better, i think he'd make an absolutely world class waterboy

He's been doing well in the 2 chances he got at #5.

I like the team we're playing today bar Rumman. Yeah it's bad that we don't have any frontline pacers, but the batting line up looks much better than the garb we played in the first 3 ODIs.

Amin the future legend will silence his haters and flash the same blade with which he hit an epic six in South Africa.

He is a clean striker of the ball. Bat him at 6 or in the top 3 to utilise the power play

play him every 4th match. he usually performs after failing three times
