I know it’s a bit premature, but both have genuine talent

Where Nasir looks more of a batting AR, Imran looks to be a bowling AR

They should be brought at NCA and into the national set up asap and have qualified coaches work with them.

Please don’t judge them based on PSL, and make them play FC and List A

Pace ARs are rare, if they can be groomed properly, they can be really good assets for a long time

Your thoughts?

Both are terrible bowlers. More like 6th bowling option who can bowl 4 to 5 overs .atleast nasir nawaz looks decent with the bat but imran doesn't looks like international material

They both are explosive with the bat and decent with the ball. Definitely better than faheem and need to be groomed.

You don’t need your ARs to bowl 10 overs in an ODI. Also, I’ve to disagree with you, Imran looks like a much better prospect at #7 in tests, as a 3rd seamer in Asia and 4th in SENA.

But again it depends if PCB can groom him and are willing to play with 5 bowler strategy

Agreed. Faheem isn’t even an AR. Wahab, Amir and Hasan Ali, all are much better bowlers and batsmen than him.

Agree with this I like Imran hard working but not an international material unless he improves his bowling drastically. While Nazir nawaz has a lot of potential with the bat though he needs to improve against spin.

Both have potentional imran seems more suitable to tests
Nasir nawaz more suitable to odis and t20s

Both should be working in the NCA they both have potential.

Both imran and nasir look like batting all rounders than bowling all rounders

Unless imran drastically improve he will be only good for domestic cricket .Criteria for national team should be high than few cute performance which are neither extra ordinary or match winnig

Haven't seen enough of these two bowling to comment but for those criticising their bowling:

Sir Faheem Ashraf, given a free ride for the last 3.5 years by multiple captains and coaches, has an ODI bowling average of 66 at 5.5 RPO vs non-minnows.

So just about anyone in Pakistan domestics would be an improvement.

There is solution for that Aamer yamin but his performances overlook by selectors .

nasir nawaz looks really good against pacers, needs to tighten up significantly against spinners tho.

No harm in trying them in domestic and with NCA coaches, when the current option is Fahim Ashraf. Fahim plays in the pretext of all-rounder when he is neither a good bowler nor an acceptable batsmen. Currently Amad butt is the best Pakistan can provide and got rightfully selected in team. He has something to work on.

Nasir Nawaz currently is nowhere near an international cricketer in his main discipline which is batting alone, but has very good potential to develop. For a start, he has to develop his judgement and shot selection against spinners, he got out to Sajid khan by playing against the turn instead of defending or playing with straight bat which he's perfectly capable of. Hope that comes with experience. His bowling now was more under developed and he looks significantly slower than when he started. He can try to model himself on Pollard or Stoinis by developing good cutters and variations in pace, he's a gifted athlete and has good height to make use of while bowling.

Imran seems a late bloomer and I couldn't see him play as a player who can do more than an impact innings here and there and bowl couple of innocuous overs without conceding too much in T20's. Very long way to do anything significant with current skillset in ODI and Tests.

I just wonder whether Nasir Nawaz should be batting a bit down the order.

Whenever I have seen him bat, he doesn't look like an opening batsman for the longer format to me.

Just wanted to quote this because it needs to be said many, many times before people in Pakistan finally get it.

We badly need to find pace bowling AR's so if these guys are showing any potential whatsoever get them some FC or PSL exposure and let's see what's what.

Perhaps good to develop his technique? He’s been getting past the new ball spell with fair regularity, it’s possible Wasim wants to develop his compactness more - anyone can always cash in later on

Nasir Nawaz has a touch about his batting.... he has "THAT" factor in his game.... he can become good with proper chances and training ...

Imran is good too but both of them need 2 seasons in current domestic format ... ideally with M.Wasim
