Can Pakistan beat South Africa in Tests at home?

Well rumours are floating around that this can be the last assignment of Misbah as head coach. I hope it doesnt impact the performance of the team against SA at home. I think if they are going to remove him its better to do it now and appoint an interim head coach.

I am sure PCB will recruit a nice clown who is worse than Misbha unless the new coach from out side Pakistan.

As per rumours the coaches under consideration are from outside of Pak. To be honest I dont think even a local with experience and some track record can do worse than what Misbah has done while learning on the job.

What is the source of these rumours?

I'd keep Younis Khan as batting coach, he's a positive figure to have.

My team/squad would be.

Imaam ul haq
Azhar ali
Kamran ghullam/saud

Saud shakeel/kamran ghullam/fawad

Yasir
Sarfraz
Usman Salahuddin

Abbas

Next Test match Maharaj will play

Most likely Beddingham in for Stubbs…

Maybe they will add Jansen in for Mulder

Pakistan defeated the Saffers comprehensively. They dominated the whole game TBH. It is not a small thing to beat WTC champions.

Agreed, anyone complaining on any matter other then Abdullah Shafique is simply a hater.

Barring Abdullah everyone pulled their socks up and comprehensively played as a team to win.

I think the only genuine weak point is

A) Abdullah Shafique (Obviously)

B) Maybe a bit of Shan's captaincy, he isn't too bad but sometimes sets defensive placements.

I don't really mind Shan's batting tbh, since his return he has tonked 2 centuries and has consistently been batting at an avg of 37. Only one higher is rizwan at an avg of 41.

Even saud and Agha are operating at 35-36.

Granted most of their avg's tanked due to the WI series where pitches were doctored and the Australia series where everyone excluding rizwan flopped.

If you exclude them most of them are batting at 40+ (Agha, Rizwan and Shan) yes Shan are 40+ ironically 🤣🤣🤣.

Abdullah and Babar are both stuck at 18-30 though. Saim was also extremely poor avg 14 I believe.

This match showed what a scam WTC final in England is. The champion team can't even take out a bottom tier subcontinental team in Asia.

Pakistan should clean sweep SA.

I agree. Even India couldn't win WTC Final. That should've been the sure shut case to shift WTC Final from England

Surprised they benched Maharaj in 1st Test.
He wasn’t benched, he was playing an FC game in SA to confirm match fitness.

This is a professional set up. Not like Pakistan who took an injured SSA to the 2022 World Cup, or are playing Babar without performance just on feels.

I see.

Anyway, South Africa lost the 1st game due to poor batting. Bowling was good.
