Imran Khan was not just a regular player but a legend of the game of cricket. He, till date, is the only Pakistan captain to ever have won an ODI World Cup for Pakistan and this incredible feat made him an household name. Many big names in Pakistan like Younis Khan Shahid Afridi, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shoaib Akhtar etc still look up to him as a role model. But of late we have seen a disturbing trend and a botched attempt by current politically motivated PCB management to erase Imran Khan's contributions from the annals of Pakistan cricket just owing to differences with his political ideology. But the big question is can they ever succeed in that?

Any Fitna for a nation can be forgotten/erased

Doesn’t matter what you have achieved in sports or whatever. If you are the cause of rebellion, then you must be clamped down upon through the force of the law.

Law, order, peace. That’s all that matters, not popularity.

Pakistan fans, citizens of Pakistan.

Learn from this now. Do not create another Fitna for yourselves. Do not enable any person to perceive they are far bigger than their capacity made for them by God Almighty.

Do not repeat the mistakes of the past!

One thing I take exception to is that the feat of winning the World Cup was not what made him a household name. He was already a household name wayyy before that.

Not only in Pakistan but in England too!

No one can erase his cricketing legacy, it’s not possible. The pak govt is acting like a petty, stroppy ex girlfriend.

Yes they can erase Imran.

The only thing no one can erase except for Allah’s wrath is a nuclear armed army.

PK is united behind him,He won a 2/3rd majority, he is our greatest leader since Quaid, so who is creating the fitna? Please tell

So to understand this stupid logic the 10%( and even that is stretching it) are ok to murder and steal but the 90% must not do anything to stop it and if they do it wrong. Obviously maths and logic arent your friends

How can you erase the lagacy of some one who is among the top 3 all rounders in entire history of test cricket?

Two top tier ATG from Pakistan and contender for an spot in All time XI - IK and Wasim.

I have no opinion on domestic politics, but no one is taking away their cricketing legacy.

Yes. And follow the legacies of Loot Maar Mafia and poodles of the establishment, Nooras and zardaris.

And No, they can't tarnish his cricketing legacy, its one of only few Pakistan has, as well as being of the GOATS of the game

Right…. and now Pakistan is a Utopian country, all living happily side by side, singing kumbaya. The country are rotten rotten rotten to their very core. Your very blood relations will rip the shirt of your back to have what is yours, just because and then they’ll be front row centre on Friday afternoon Jummah as if their the most pious individuals ever, And all because Imran Khan became PM… yeah right.
Country was rotten before him and now the king has returned will remain even better.

The fact he is still alive is a source of immense heartburn and diarrhoea for some. May Allah SWT preserve IK

You start to see all the haters and losers on here worship criminals and apparently it's the job of all us to worship the Mistry as a super being because they do so or it's Fitna.

In the modern world censorship usually just draws more attention to what you are trying to hide.

If bangladesh can try to erase Bangabandhu from history then Pakistan also can so never say never.

There is no entity EXCEPT ALLAH that can erase the legacy of Imran Khan, may it be any field where he stepped in.

IK legacy in cricket is engraved. It's not written in ink which can be erased it's engraved on the most prestigious trophy in the game.

More than that IK is enjoys the status of a hero and is a symbol of hope and resistance against oppression. His legend will grow even after he is gone.

3+ decades have passed since his retirement and he is still arguably the most famous Pakistani cricketer. Good luck trying to erase his memory or heroics from the history of game or from people's minds.

All this because the PCB didn’t wish Imran Khan happy birthday?

What a bunch of sooks his fans are!
