Ramiz Raja encouraged Sarfraz to promote himself up to the 3rd spot in the batting lineup. Do you think this will benefit Pakistan in The Champions Trophy?

Number 4 or 5 would be better, Babar is doing gloriously at 3 he should stay. Sarfraz is someone who can hit boundaries while running between the wickets

He can but that spot is Azam's, who has been prolific as a No.3 batsman. However, I do agree that Sarfraz needs to bat higher up the order. I would love to have him as an opener but with the likes of Shehzad and Hafeez there, I don't think even the captain had much of a say!

Amin should be a middle order bat. Sarfraz actually had success opening. Sarfraz is terrible with the tail too.

I've spoken to Amin about this before too. I feel he should be a middle order bat

Did u ever talk to amin about the idea of opening in ODIs ? what does he think ?

I don't have faith in him as a top three batsman. He did well as an opener in a few games, but pacers will try to bounce him out with the new ball. He is short and has a crouched stance, well-directed bouncers will always be a problem for him. Bangladesh targeted him in the series following the World Cup, and the experiment of opening with him ended there.

Anybody who wants to displace Babar from the number 3 position is an enemy of Pakistan and Pakistan cricket.

Okay Babar at 3 followed by Haris and Amin.

Make Sarfraz open

tht would be great 3/4/5 but i want amin to open with sarfraz... highly unlikely n difficult for sarfraz to open especially in chase given his fitness is not to a standard of gilly or even akmal... he needs some rest so he cant go open.. then 6 is probably best but more floating than tht.. but def want amin to open

4 is his ideal position but unfortunately, he has to accommodate others in that slot.

I think Sarfaraz continuing to play low/ at number 6 has been one of my biggest frustrations with the ODI team recently. It is abundantly clear he is suited to the middle order which he has proven with some brilliant innings.

Dissapointed that even after becoming the captain, he himself has not recognised this or that Mickey is not pushing for it.

A middle order of Babar, Haris and Sarfarz can become the backbone of our batting over the next few years.

LOI cricket has been terrible for a long time now. We need to adopt an aggressive approach to win games, and that means moving aggressive batsmen like Sarfraz up the order. I'm fine with Babar staying at 3, but Sarfraz should be at 4 at the very lowest.

lol leave Babar at #3 and please don't bother him.

It's a travesty that a fraud like Hafeez gets to bat at 4; ahead of Sarfraz.

Sarfraz can be a better no 3 than Babar. The latter is limited in his game/strike rotation and often gets bogged down (lost us at least one game in the Australian tour while batting slowly with Sharjeel).

Status quo is not always the way to go, some tinkering in lineups can have vivid differences. I'm up for this, hope it happens

Sarfaraz is not capable of taking on the fast bowlers against the new ball. People need to get this through their head.

why is everyone determined to make sure that Babar messes up

He should open. No point in playing him in the middle and lower order, as he struggles to hit big. I would rather have Rizwan over him in the middle and lower order.

Then at what position Haris can bat? No. 4 is best suited for him. Sarfraz will bat low down.

1Fakhar
2Azhar
3Babar
4Haris
5Shoaib
6Hafeez
7Sarfraz
8Imad
9Amir
10Wahab/junaid
11Hassan

Should bat at 4 in all formats. He needs to take a stance and make sure he does things.

Now he is the captain and if he doesnt make the right choices he will be out soon.

Hafeez needs to bat at 6. He is the only one that can hit out to some degree.

Sarfraz is ideal for middle overs where he can keep the scoreboard ticking against the older ball. He's not very good at the death so shouldn't bat any lower than 5. Should only bat at number 4 or 5.

Sarfaraz is not capable of taking on the fast bowlers against the new ball. People need to get this through their head.

You say this on the basis of him failing several times in such matches as...?

Who is better than him a doing this among the current roster of players? Haris?

And by 'taking on' I mean "score runs off," not block.

I was very encouraged by how he played Gabriel in the Tests; the only batsman
in the side who did not look frightened by the prospect. In fact he made it look easy.

Sarfaraz should be at number 6 at champions trophy

1. Fakhar Zaman
2. Azhar Ali/Hafeez
3. Babar Azam
4. Haris Sohail
5. Malik
6. Sarfaraz

Did he explained why Sarfraz should replace Babar at 3? Obviously, as a Captain, Sarfu can take out keeping kits & open bowling, so that's a privilege, not reason.
