He’s a number 9
That’s it
Based on his last 2 innings Shadab has clearly demonstrated that he does not have the match awareness and temparament to bat higher up the order. Pakistan needs a proper batsman at 4 and 5 followed by Shadab and Nawaz.
A nepotism yaarI never rated shadab. I always knew he was a bits and pieces cricketers. A trend established in Pakistan.
Timer/proper cricketing shots!!!!I used to think Shadab had the potential to be a solid number 4, but seems he's trying to adapt his game to play lower down the order. I felt he had the potential to progress like Shoaib Malik did when Bob Woolmer promoted him to no. 3. Maybe too optimistic.
In my opinion, his natural game seems more of an accumulator / timer / proper cricketing shots type of a player but seems he's trying to go down a different path.
It was based on observation in his early career. I feel like he had the potential which he never fully developed.Timer/proper cricketing shots!!!!
When did you ever see him bat like that?
He is just good number 7.
Replacing shadab is a huge task. But considering his form, he should not be in playing 11 but I will definitely keep him in the squad if Usama Mir is not picked.According to Geo news - Abrar Ahmed likely to replace Shadab Khan in the World Cup squad of Pakistan.
Yes , shadab khan is important players for Pakistan.he can win match on his days single HandleyReplacing shadab is a huge task. But considering his form, he should not be in playing 11 but I will definitely keep him in the squad if Usama Mir is not picked.
Well I believe that he was never in that league of a proper batsman. Just a bits and pieces cricketer with limited abilities except as a feilder. Though he had some potentials as a bowler early in his career but unfortunately he never transformed himself into a frontline spinner. It was based on observation in his early career. Instead he starting trying to define his role within the team as a hard hitting batsmen when he was captain in the PSL and promoted himself to number 3 or 4.
Fair enough for trying to carve out a role especially in the era of T20's but I feel like it doesn't suit him.
