Just watched the highlights of the match against Bangladesh and I all I could hear were horns and vuvuzelas in the background, it's really annoying and ruins the atmosphere.

That's what makes the desi atmosphere.

Our crowds don't usually sing songs in sync. No booze and don't get high ejther. What do you want them to do to create a buzz and festive feeling?

That's not desi atmosphere. Vuvuzelas were invented in south africa or brazil and are a recent are introduction in cricket, it used to only be used in sri lanka and the west indies but is spreading to other countries and Pakistanis being susceptible to bad habits pick it up.

I've been to cricket matches in Pakistan when I visited as a kid in the 2000s and trust me this is was not part of the culture. Crowds are suppsosed to cheer loudly, we don't sing in America either and a lot of people don't drink. I'd rather have a crowd cheer and react to what's going on in the game then just here a monotonous drone of vuvuzelas.

Watch a cricket match in Australia or England, there isn't much singing but the crowds cheers according to what goes on in the game and no it has nothing to do with drinking, I've been to college football games in America where most people can't legally drink (under 21) and it gets loud. Vuvuzelas are just an annoyance.

If you think it sounds bad on TV you should hear how it sounds in the stadium. You can barely hear anything or anyone.

On a side note, what were those glowy ball thingies the crowd were holding up ?

Go back and watch the T20 games pakistan player in England. For example the one against Australia where Umar Akmal acorrr 64 and afridi hit a six into the next dimension.

Also these horns were used by our fans during the 2009 T20 World Cup. I remember distinctly Malik used one of them as a joke when signing autographs. To this day he keeps it close.

Dude you are sounding like a retired British pensioneer watching test cricket, if people are having fun what's the problem
Besides the atmosphere it creates I feel like is awesome, I wanna see a cricket match not funeral proceedings

Hate people who complain about it. I love it, as long as the producers don't have it really loud, which they usually dont.

The horns add such a nice atmosphere.

Vuvuzelas belong to uncultured sport of villagers and peasants like Football or Rugby. They should have no place in cricket which is a game of elites and gentlemen.

Really feeling disappointed with how England and Pakistan are degrading the standard of cricket in recent times.

If somebody brought a vuvuzela to a rugby game here it would be shoved down their throat.

Let people enjoy how they want to enjoy. No one is banning vuvuzelas because someone people sitting in the U.S. are annoyed by it.

Pakistan is a deprived country with struggling to make ends meet. Watching cricket in the stadium gives them temporary escape from their problems before they go out in the real world again.

Let people find joy in the little things in life and don’t try to dictate how they should watch a game of cricket.

There are no hard and fast rules and they are not supposed to follow the protocol established by spectators in the first world countries.

People should read the wiki page about vuvuzelas, it's disliked around the world.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vuvuzela

"The vuvuzela has been the subject of controversy when used by spectators at football matches. Its high sound pressure levels at close range can lead to permanent hearing loss for unprotected ears after exposure,[7] with a sound level of 120 dB(A) (the threshold of pain) at one metre (3.3 ft) from the device opening.[5]"

Stadiums and Leagues around the world that banned the vuvuzela:

Wembley Stadium (as part of an overall ban of noisemakers)[45]

Here's some more

Nine English Premier League clubs have banned the device. Five clubs (Arsenal,[71] Birmingham City, Everton, Fulham and Liverpool) have banned them due to health and safety reasons while Sunderland, West Ham United, and West Bromwich Albion have barred them because of policy against musical instruments. Manchester United banned vuvuzelas from Old Trafford on August 13, 2010. However, two clubs (Manchester City and Stoke City) have allowed them.[citation needed]

The organizers of the 2012 Olympic Games placed a ban on vuvuzelas at the sporting event.

Also read the health concerns section on the page. Y'all make up your mind, I'm personally not a fan of it. Also if you disagree with someone you can do the adult thing and not resort to ad hominem attacks.

Thag is the thing about New Zealand. Even villagers in NZ have class.

I wish we had this attitude in England.

well it was annoying the hell out of everyone I met who watched the game on tv. It was so unbearable that most of us had to mute the tv. Really pathetic and annoying and should be banned. PCB need to raise their broadcasting quality to int. level which includes ban on these instruments. It was crazy abd buzzing throughout the day. If they were really sensible they could only play it frequently like when some six is hit or four or wicket falls not throughout the game.

If you want to find something negative you will always find it. There was nothing wrong with I said. I was sympathizing with the public and what watching cricket means to them.

The problem is that people read my posts with the intention of finding something that would allow them to criticize me, rather than understanding the essence of what I said.

No the problem is ur posts always come across as Depressed with really pessimistic view u need to be more optimistic and cheerful

I've no problem with musical instruments but vuvuzelas are not only annoying but can damage your ears. It was the soundtrack to the 2010 FIFA World Cup and not a very good one.

absolute cringe. Totally shows incompetency of highest order whoever allowed this. This is not common fans but some employees hired by PCB master thinker who was being clever by this idea. Totally dumb idea and whoever is behind this should be fired.

It will be a great service to us if you guys can complain about this and get this torture stopped. This is unbearable to be honest.

Yes, the little environment at the ground due to the vuvuzelas, let get rid of them so there is a mute ground.

Yes few matches in, it is evident that its definitely not the best sounds going around. It becomes more pronounced even on TV when commies are quite.

Lol seeing how these crowds are shaping (empty stadiums) banning Vuvuzelas will make the game seem dead.
