What a finish! A nail-biter to the very end. Well played to both teams, but in the end, there can be only one winner. Royal Challengers Bangalore will breathe a sigh of relief after today's match and will be hoping to be more authoritative in the next one. The bowlers were probably licking their lips when they saw the pitch today - the pitch was very sporting, to say the least. All of the disciplines benefited greatly throughout the day. Surrey really were on a hiding to nothing. They were never expected to win today against Royal Challengers Bangalore and that's exactly how it played out.

And so the game draws to a tame conclusion with Western Australia claiming an impressive victory by 30 runs. A solid, if unspectacular performance there by Western Australia and they will no doubt want to build on the foundation laid today. Probably a fair pitch in the greater scheme of things. There was something in it for the bowlers especially in terms of swing, seam and spin. Oh dear - if you're a Surrey supporter, I'm afraid the scorecard makes for pretty poor reading. Western Australia simply showed more hunger for the win today and they will deservedly take all the accolades for the performance they put in.
