Change in Shadab Khan's bowling action

He has changed his bowling action and he now bowls like a part timer. The control, loop, guile is all gone. He is now just pushing through with the ball and his action and this is resulting in him either bowling half trackers or full tosses. Not sure if he is carrying an injury.

There is a massive difference b/w his bowling action and bowling quality from 2017 to 2019. He would flight the ball and invite batters to hit him over the top, but he used to give the ball a chance to spin and would bring his googly into play as well.

It was from 2020 onwards where i began to notice his bowling trajectory become flatter and he was more concerned with bowling economically rather than risk getting hit to pick up wickets. He will be eaten alive by any good batting side.

Idk if its injury or not, but he wasn't a batsmen in 2017( Not that he is one now lol), but in 2017-2018 he came as Pakistan's front line Spinner to replace yasir shah.

Now he's a pseudo allrounder. Can't bowl properly and isn't a full fledged batsmen but people treat him as an allrounder lol.

Kristen used to.enquire indian players about their changes in technique ,If he notices any after few games.He used to enquire whether the changes are intentional or habitual mistake.Are pak coaches not doing any sort of it ?

Whole Pakistan was pointing on Shadab why is he not taking wickets. Why was he bad in Asia Cup and World Cup.

Then a number of experts pointed that he should work on his action and before his action was good, before injuries. Ever since that he has been working on his action. In the PSL also fans were satisfied that he picked up wickets. But Shadab was quick to point out that his action is still work in progress and that things may take more time.

I'm just appalled by the goldfish of a memory that fans posses. He cannot go back to 2017. He's not young or injury free or mystery to the world anymore.

One of the commentators in the PSL when asked why Shadab's googly is no longer effective as it used to be in the past, he showed a video clip comparing his bowling action with Rashid Khan and observed with Shadab you can notice an obvious change in ball release when he is bowling a googly vs a regular leg spinner whereas with Rashid's action there was very little change in bowling action or ball release.

Not sure if he is putting in the work with the team's bowling coaches.

Well nothing wrong in the change of bowling action provided that he could fetch a lot more wickets with the new one.
