Felt like the the big man deserved his own thread. He is fast approaching the milestone and currently at 9912 runs with 3 more games left in the Eng Series. Soon to join an elite group of ODI cricketers.

Quality player. Did not quite justify his talent in tests and ODIs but has some great achievements under his belt (two test triple hundreds, good test record across all the countries, a World Cup double hundred). Always great fun to see him smash teams around.

I disagree that he didn't justify his talent, I believe he performed to the best of his ability but the only issue is that he should have played alot more international cricket in the last 10 years of his career. Instead,, he has maximised his career earnings by freelancing around the world which he wouldn't have needed to do if he played for a richer country.
