My question to all ppers outside, is the situation that bad, I mean if the hatred has reached such a level then sooner or later situation is going to worsen don't think of this as one off attack

It is always better to wait for official statements before playing the inevitable "if he was a Muslim he would have been called a terrorist" victim card. Several media outlets across the globe have also called it what it is - a terrorist attack.
However, sadly, it appears that for some of us, it is simply a reflex and we cannot help ourselves before jumping the gun and jumping to conclusions.
Horrible beyond belief.
Where does hatred like that come from?
DO NOT ASK for link or PUT on this forum any video from the killer
You will be banned for that
This is New Zealand. One of the safest countries in the world with very little threat of terrorism. It is understandable that they were reluctant to call it an act of terror before the findings. Nevertheless, the PM made very impressive statements and was crystal clear in her condemnation and her support for the migrants and the refugees. It is amazing that we have still found a way to criticise her.

Who is the one reporting this? And whats his source?
Why do these zionists have to drag pakistan in every terrorist related incident?
She made an amazing statement, thoroughly impressed by Jacinda, and have no regrets that I voted for her. On a day where migrant communities are extremely distressed and questioning whether or not we belong here, she has made it crystal clear that we are New Zealanders, and the terrorist is not.
I know one of them is confirmed to be from Australia I don't know about the other 2-3 they have in custody. She also says that the attackers were not citizens of her own country which is WRONG.
I am not directing my criticism towards her in particular but more towards the media who report things differently when muslims are involved. I am not going to turn a blind eye towards the obvious different approaches in reporting just to stay politically correct. If you have followed reporting (and even some official statements) of different terrorist attacks over the years, you would understand what i am pointing towards.
She also says that the attackers were not citizens of her own country which is WRONG.
Tbf the NZ media were basically describing a terrorist attack and using terms which would indicate one. They never directly called it that but alluded to it. Now that Jacinda has called it a terrorist attack, the local media will run with it.I understand where you are coming from, but my point is that it is always better to wait for official statements before making sweeping statements. I am not talking about you here, but the three posters that I quoted before you.
When it comes to independent sources and general public, they will say what they want to say and will confirm to their biases. Yes there are plenty of people who are reluctant to use the word 'terrorist' when a non-Muslim is the perpetrator, just like there are people who always find a way to apologise for terrorism.
However, it seems that whenever a non-Muslim carries out an attack, a group of people will immediately rehash the "if it was a Muslim he would be called a terrorist" statement without waiting for official statement(s). If the NZ govt. and media had failed to call it an act of terror, they would have been justified to make these comments.
In times like these, it is best to show a bit of patience and restraint before taking sides.

Spot on Mamoon.
To be honest, I’m a bit repulsed by some posters who seem more concerned with the classification of this attack as a terrorist attack (which btw it clearly is, and is being acknowledged as such!) than the actual attack, and the victims themselves.

Is this verified??I cant believe a senator would give out a statement like that.
If so this is deplorable and should be condemned as much as the attacks itself.
How the hell can he post crap on social media days before the attack and still be able to execute the attack? This is a huge intelligence failure.

Authorities are busy spying on brown folk. Now they will know how serious white right wing extremists are.

Yes mate, after your unconfirmed and knee jerk comments in the Aisha Bibi thread I am sure to pay heed to your advice.
As it stands the majority of MSM are reporting this as an attack, not a terrorist attack, and no ammount of tweets/staements will change the stays quo when it comes to bias reporting.
Mainstream media in Australia where the terrorist is from is calling it a terrorist attack, the NZ PM has called it that too so who are you waiting on to verify if was indeed a terror attack or not?
Quite bizarre, but it appears the NZ shooter was in Pakistan in 2018

Yeah the western media will try its best to disassociate with this guy, funny a random picture is being shared from his time in Pakistan and it isn't even clear if the pic is from Pakistan or not, however, picture from no where else is being shared. Apparently he travelled the world for 7 years after his father's death but only took one pic and that too in Pakistan.
White hypocrisy for all to see in its full glory.
Please share link of this news site, I want to read what the garbage western media is talking about.
Yeah that statement is from him. Also did a few tweets, then deleted them.

While the severity of tragedy is not lessened by labels, the labels are needed to form a narrative/counter narrative. Therefore the demand for it to be classified as terrorism is a fair one. goose and gander.
Based on the accounts of people who have seen the video a brave man run towards the shooter and tried to tackle him before the gunman regained control and shot him. What I want to know is how come no one else in the mosque tried to assist that brave soul.
Why are peole obsessed with what this attack is termed by the media and politicians? Who cares if they refer to this as a terrorist attack or not. Why give these people so much importance.
Terrible News.
The rise of right wing extremists is alarming.
Understatement of the year
Can't believe some people especially indians are praising the terrorist. How low can u get.

Who praised the terrorists?
I watched the video of the shooting because unfortunately it is being spread like wildfire on WhatsApp.
It’s one of the most horrific things I have seen, it took me some time to get over it. Guys urge everyone not to spread it - it can scarr people especially if children watch it.
A really sad day especially for New Zealand as that would be the last country you would envisage this happening.
RIP to the victims.
Go on twitter or youtube and you'll know what i'm talking about.
Go on amy indian youtube news channel that's reporting this attack and just go in the comments.
Allegedly hundreds were cheering the gunman on...this sickness is very very deep now..we fought the TTP and ISIS. when are the white non muslim community going to fight their extremists??

Fight? Lol.
They're making them. Tommy robinson type people are making them.
true..they come take our resources then want to kick us out of the countries we thought were our homes..I dont need their thoughts and prayers!! iw ant action against the exteme right wing..
is that the best you can do? remember this guy is part of your community. Your denial is what is ensuring that these people can walk in and shoot my brothers and sisters in cold blood.. but you go right ahead and worry about semantics..
This is what happens when you try to be an expert without any knowledge. I'm one of those who you are referring to as the "posters" and my post started out with a common Muslim prayer for the dead.
Must be hard for you lot to accept that the terrorist is one of your own and not a Muslim/person of color.
