Ayo what's good brothers? I'm lookin for some nice, manly cologne recommendations that aren't too expensive for a a guy in his early 20s. I've actually never really worn cologne, I just use deodrant for daily use but was thinking to up my game for special occasions with some cologne. What's something that smells incredible and manly, lasts long but won't make me go broke (Nothing more than a hunnit bucks). What do y'all use?

Sauvage is the best cologne rn, but it’s $60. Everybody notices it, but yeah the price is the only drawback, I got it off sale.

Lacoste Style in Play was also pretty good, about 30 bucks. Good cologne is usually minimum $25-30, no less than 25.

Also I hate using the word cologne, I prefer perfume because that’s what it is everywhere in the world. But yeah :asif

aight imma check those out, what about YSL l'homme and those other french sounding ones?

I prefer the word cologne, it sounds way more niche and manly than perfume. I'd never buy perfume! Cologne, yes. :afridi

A regrettable assumption prevalent in North America is that cologne is for men, perfume (actually parfum) for women. The terms actually indicate the degree of dilution of the fragrance in alcohol. Perfume is the highest concentration, cologne much less so. Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum lie somewhere between Parfum and Cologne.

Had a gig selling fragrances in my high school years. I think that took away some of my ability to smell odor, by giving free test samples. Desi's usually went with clean fresh scent something like Azzaro Chrome was very popular or Drakkar Noir for stronger scent.

Me personally, I liked Burberry original and Dunhill Desire. Now I just use old spice deodrant, if you take shower regularly why do you need to bathe in overly scented liquid.

Also a popular recommendation is Armani aqua de gio. Yes that's the one that will have the ladies smelling you out.

The first part I knew was true, and is a major misconception here, second part I wasn’t aware of even tho that’s how I differentiated the two in that perfume has a stronger scent.

French ones I have gotten in the past have a more subdued scent, but it was only 1 or 2, and this was back in high school so I paid no attention to the names lol.

Nostalgic is right, these indicate the alcohol content in the fragrance.

I only use deodrant for daily use and after showering in the morning or after the gym . I only plan to use cologne for special occasions like a formal.

I learned that the hard way by saying perfume in front of my high school desi friends when what I meant was cologne. They still think of me as some type of paindu since I also made a blunder of calling cell phone a mobile phone before, and I was rightfully corrected, something I still remember which happened ~11 years ago.

Chanel blue, Gucci oud, creed aventus, bond no9, these are all pricy but by far the best.

And the affordable ones are, paco rabanne one million, Paco rabanne invictus, deisel only the brave, boss night, Jean Paul gautiere.

Used to frequently use Davidhoff Blue Water and CK One before, I can't tolerate strong smells as everyone I knew while growing up was soaked in Oud or the house was filled with Bukhoor smoke. I discovered Chanel Allure Homme Sport 5 years ago and haven't looked back, have been gifted many other perfumes but they were either re gifted (The ones I had already tried) or just gathering dust in the cupboard.

Jo Malone has some nice ones, from lighter subtle scents to darker stronger aromas.

There are 3 fragrances which I would highly recommend. Two of them are good for year around use, but another one is great for the summer months.

1) Aqua Di Gio Prufumo:

This fragrance is very vesitile and will make you smell like a proper man. People WILL notice it and you WILL get compliments on it all the time. I use this the most often as its pretty non-offensive even for office use. Also a great night time fragrance when you are going out.

2) Channel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme: Long name I know, however this fragrance smells quite unique. Its fresh and sweet at the same time. Kind of hard to explain it, but once again you can tell its a mans fragrance. The scent trail on this fragrance is probably the best. When you pass someone wearing this it is they will notice you for sure. I wear this more during fall and winter but this is also good for the summer nights. I think it can be a bit heavy during summer days so I tend to avoid it.

3) l'eau d'issey pour homme: This is hand down the best summer fragrance. Its not your typical aqua smelling fragrance but a yuzu citrus based scent. The performance I get from this is amazing. Easily lasts a good 6-8 hours on my skin.

Try the normal Allure Sport, you can wear it during the summer too as it is much lighter. In fact I started wearing it during a summer in Dubai (haven't looked back since) and it was perfect since I can't stand strong or hard smells.

I agree with MABA on Aqua Di Gio Prufumo. I have been using it for more than a year, bit expensive but best cologne for all seasons.

Dior Sauvage is another good one, but again bit expensive. Check out Prada Luna Rossa Carbon. You would be surprised how similar it is to Dior Sauvage. I have both but to me Luna Rossa Carbon smells more refined.

If you are looking for cologne from YSL, I would recommend La Nuit de L'Homme. This was by favorite until I got Aqua Di Gio Prufumo.

Bleu de Chanel is another good one, but not it seems like every uncle is wearing it now.

Abercrombie & Fitch First Instinct great teenage to early 20s cologne. Performence is average, but you can get 3.4oz bottle for less than 40 bucks on Amazon.

If you feel like breaking the bank, Creed Aventus. I use this whenever I am wearing suit

Muslim, Christian or whoever you are, do whatever you want. But if you'll criticise people for consumption alcohol, then you should stay away from luxury such as cologne which contain alcohol. For medicine, it can be justified but how can you justfiy for a cologne?

Cologne does not make people drunk! That is the major difference here.

Try clone of Creed Aventus - Armaf Club De Nuit Intense. You'll get a cologne that's 95% Aventus in terms of scent as well as performance in 10% of the price. $30 compared to $300

From the ones I've used, I'd recommend:

Armani Code perfumo - Strong spicy fragrance that's good for winters.
Paco Rabanne One Million - Sweet woody fragrance that's also suitable for Winters
Bvlgari Aqva - Fresh aquatic scent - best summer scent

What?? I reiterate that most Muslim's do not read ingredients before buying any food products. Similarly. you don't speak for the majority Muslim community either. There is an obvious difference between meat and veggies that the consumer does not need to be told about..

i'll agree with this as it is the most probable scenario. How may of us have read terms and conditions before signing up for PP or google or for any service for that matter? Often we just click the check mark that we agree and click next. But we often forget that the T&C is one of the integral component of using a service. It is basic human psychology.

Send them over maybe .... :)

They don't read the ingredients coz even if the food contains something non halal it won't make them drunk no matter what. I said the majority of Muslim's don't read it, no need to be extra smart here! I have never cseen any Muslim reading the ingredients on any food tin coz most buy from halal shops. Now you'll say something silly like food can get people drunk as well!

Oh boy, really? Am I really reading this?

You’re saying getting drunk is the only prohibited thing in Islam? You know that Muslims can’t consume gelatine unless it’s halal gelatine? How would one know that the gelatine is halal, by READING the INGREDIENTS.

Kindly respect people’s choices. Its a fun thread.

So I'm back in the market for a nice EDT, currently considering Prada, Chanel Allure or Tom Ford. So what are you guys wearing these days?
