I am 86 born, indian cricket fan. Have enjoyed wasim/waqar/shoiab/saeed anwar/inzi in their prime form, specially during the dominance of pak over india during the late 90's.

always felt, that pakistan has got raw talent making up for their lack of consistency. Happy for their progress this year. 2007 t20 /2011 world cup, they ended up on wrong side of luck coupled with their own mistakes.

Hopefully, friends from the border also enjoy the stalwarts of current indian generation batters purely from a cricketing point of view.

Hoping for an india vs pak final. I see some pakistani posters, not giving credit to india for still standing in the chance for semis. Pak reached 1992 world cup , with a favour from austrlia beating west indies in their last league match( if not west indies would have qualified).

Hopefully the afgan brothers do us a favour :)

Here's to hoping for the best.

See you boys in the final InshaAllah

As a true cricket fan, i am also happy to see Pakistan progressing in the semis..
The quality of cricket they playerd throughout the tournament does really deserve appreciation..
Calm, composed pair of Babar and Rizwan are going to set numerous records in recent years..
Good luck to men in green 👌

Welcome to PP and thanks for your appreciation. India will have to face Australia or England in the Semi Final if they manage to qualify and toss plays a vital role. Hope best team wins the tournament.

Enjoyed your post nd yes it would be a great match if India-Pakistan both meet in the final. Unlike Pakistan-India matches in the recent past where India was expected to win , this time match ( final, if it happens ) will be a closer one and both teams will have a chance, and we will arrange a cricket party to watch the match .

We used to watch India-Pakistan matches as a party but when India started beating Pakistan on almost all the time, we stopped arranging those parties, happy and fun days are back now, I hope.

India will be favorite, by a closer margin though , if we play again in final.

If PP ever asked for your interview ( they should ) I will ask many questions on your views about the cricketers from the golden era of cricket 60s, 70s and 80s .

The two best teams are England and Pakistan.

I for one do not want Pakistan to meet India again in this tournament.

After a long time, Pakistan has beaten India in a World Cup game. To put that happiness again on the line in a matter of days is just not cricket :)

Sorry brother but why would we want a rival team to make it to the semis? lol. That'd be like an Arsenal fan wanting Man Utd to make it to the Champions League final to play them, if anything them crashing out in the group stage would bring them more delight. :afridi

Be an optimist , just visualise the scenes of joy and celebration in the streets of Lahore and Karachi , and the welcome to the Pakistan team at Islamabad Airport with PM Imran Khan personally receiving the team at the airport and congratulating Babar and the team after their World Cup victory,

PM Imran Khan’s speech at the airport - “Babar, I congratulate you and your team as you have made the nation proud. As a team you have exceeded even our 1992 World Cup achievement by winning this T20 World Cup 2021.. and beating India by 10 wickets not just once , but TWICE - and what a superb innings of 126* by Hafeez in the final chasing a score of 210 to win. “

Meanwhile, Hafeez will tweet : “I’ve decided to cancel my retirement and play for Pakistan till the next World Cup after the PM Imran Khan personally requested me..”

Will Hafeez open?

Will Hafeez open?
Well in my imaginary Pak v India final, basically what happens is India bats first and scores 209. The Pakistani team walk off the field looking disappointed after Hafeez the bowler went for 80 runs from his 4 over spell of bowling in what could be his final game.

The commentators write off Pakistan’s chances and Indian media start boasting before the game is finished and their govt make preparations for national holiday to celebrate the WC win next day.

Meanwhile just as Babar and Rizwan are padding up for the Pakistan innings, Hafeez walks over to them with his pads, gloves and helmet on and Shahid Afridi’s gifted bat in his hand. He tells Babar and Rizwan, please toss a coin and decide between you who is going to join me as opener.. no ifs and buts, I am going to win this World Cup for Pakistan today, just you wait and see.

Babar is stunned and unsure what to say to Hafeez, but before he can say anything Hafeez starts walking out to the middle to open the batting, so Babar and Rizwan toss and Rizwan joins Hafeez as second opener.

What happens from that moment on once Hafeez starts batting against Bumrah and greets him with two sixes off the first two balls, is an exhibition of batting that has not been seen on the cricket field before. Hafeez scores 126 not out with 15 sixes, and the shot of the night was the sweep for six off Bumrah to finish the match. What an incredible performance.

You should try in bollywood as they lack creativity.this script is one notch higher than all legendary shan Shahid movies.
