England more than worthy but Pakistan didn't roll over. That's admirable and Shaheen stays fit. Who knows.

England unanimously deserved it. Ans a win for Birmingham and Bradford too

Key members of one of the greatest limited overs team in the history of cricket.

The strongest white ball team by quite a margin. Honestly the rest of the world has much catching up to do. Congrats England and all the English posters. Well deserved win!

Thoroughly deserved to win this tournament.

Our bowlers fought hard but the total was never good enough.

The ODI and T20I champions simultaneously. Kings of LOI.

Incredible team !!! They have had a fair share of injuries as well .. No Joffra Archer, Mark Wood, Reece Topley, Johnny Bairstow, Dawid Malan !!

England deserved it. They play fearless cricket for short format games and that has paid off. It's just a shame that these England heroes won't be celebrated assuch because cricket isn't taken seriously these days.

Deserved, well ahead of everyone in white ball cricket. Rather England win than anyone else. If they can find another good young bowler from somewhere the team is perfect.

Congratulations Enland!!

Congratulations 🎉 to all the English posters here Roberts James ,and all.:)

After Australia dominance of the 90s till 2008, England is the new team that now dominates world cricket after them.

That 2011 World Cup that this team lost, forced them to change their approach. They bought in baseball coaches and after that they have never looked back.

Proud WC winners up both formats. They own limited overs cricket.

Congrats England! They were always favourites and good to get trophies too to set the record straight. Well played

Congratulations England. And to all England fans.

It all started from Adelaide 2015 World Cup England being knocked out by Bangladesh. Who would’ve thought Bangladesh would have such impact on English cricket! Credit to BD too.

Congratulations to England! What an incredible turnaround this has been after 2015!! Truly well deserved. 👏👏👏

Consistent performance in white ball cricket and duly rewarded

Expected England to win from the start, and this isn't even their full-strength team. Easily the No 1 T20 team in the world.

Congratulations.

Congratulations to England! T20 World Champions!

Well done England! Deserved Champions! First ever team to hold the ODI and T20 World Cups concurrently!

Commiserations to Pakistan, but you can be proud of your performance in this World Cup, you fought till the end in the final! And yes, at least Pakistan took wickets against England!

The best bowling unit vs. the best Batting unit in the final - a justified final!

Plus, 2 England bowlers of Pakistani origin (Moeen & Adil), just goes to prove, Pakistan cricket is next gen!

Great tournament.

Now on to the Test series!

Strauss changed their thinking after 2015 WC debacle and Eng never looked back. They play an exciting brand of cricket and are deserving winners. They lost Roy and Bairstow and kept finding others. I think Rasheed was just incredible in this world cup. Curran was a revelation. Woakes is probably done and is warming the bench for Archer. Wood is a gun.

Can easily win next year 50 over world cup as no other team comes close to there batting depth

England were the most complete team at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and they are fitting champions.

They showed they were the best all-round team in all their pressure matches. Against India in the semi-final we saw it, against Sri Lanka when they had to win to qualify and then in the final, they were dominant.

I am absolutely chuffed for Ben Stokes. He was like a sponge, he absorbed the pressure for England, he absorbed, absorbed and absorbed and then you squeeze and release. That was Ben Stokes in that chase.

I think it’s not been fair to him that the one defining over in the 2016 final will always be remembered when you talk about T20 World Cup finals. Since then, he has soared high like an eagle. With the bat, especially, he has had so many great moments in all three formats.

That over and the Carlos Brathwaite sixes will be one of the first things you think of when you look back on T20 World Cup finals. It will not be the first thing you think of when it comes to Ben Stokes though. That is a mark of everything he has achieved.

I am so happy for him that he stood up in a final. It’s not the first time he has done it. It tells you the mark of a great player because you always find yourself in a position to be a hero for your team. That is what Ben Stokes has done.

As great as he was though, the strength of this England team is just how many people contribute. That is why they are a great team.

Sam Curran has that ability to put the choke on the opposition and take key wickets in the middle overs. Every time they look like they might be building a partnership, he comes on and takes a couple of quick wickets.

Praise also has to go to Chris Jordan who came in for the big games and got key wickets.

Pakistan were always up against it when they lost the toss and batted first. That does not play to their strengths.

They want to bowl first, restrict the opposition and then let Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam go out and chase.

We saw that they were too tentative batting first. You need to be brave in the power play and put teams under pressure earlier.

Commiserations to Pakistan though, who overcame all the odds to get to the final and they were not too far away in the end. But England won it and they deserved it.

I think the other thing this tournament has shown us is that while the teams are definitely getting closer, the players with experience of playing in T20 leagues around the world really shone.

You look at India, who have the biggest T20 league, but their players do not have the experience of the guys who are playing all over the world. You look at guys like Alex Hales, Chris Jordan, guys who play in the Big Bash. It is no coincidence that they excelled in Australia.

England have always been able to adapt to what the situation required. Whether it was against Afghanistan in Perth, they did what they needed to get the win. Against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, they upped the tempo when necessary.

Then, in the final, they only needed a victory and to chase 137, and they did it. That is maturity in a batting line-up, understanding what you need to do and playing accordingly. They were the most adaptable team with bat and ball and they are worthy winners.

Thanks, I didn't play though so no congrats owed.

I didn't think England would do it. Buttler seemed to have too much on his plate as skipper / opener / keeper, there was no Roy, and no Bairstow either. But Hales, Wood and Wasam Acurran came through brilliantly.

England are now the undisputed champions of LOI cricket. The heavyweights of this format.

England defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday to clinch the 2022 T20 World Cup title. It was indeed a matter of pride and joy at the same time for the side as it bagged its second world title in the format. Despite a shock loss to Ireland in the Super 12 stage, the England cricket team kept believing in itself and eventually won the tournament, beating quality teams like India and Pakistan in the semi-final and final, respectively.

After the win, the Jos Buttler-led side assembled for a photoshoot with the trophy. This when England players' gesture towards fellow teammates Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid melted the internet.

The players waited for Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, both of whom are followers of Islam, to step aside before bringing out the champagne celebration.

England were the best team in the tournament and deserved victors.
Congratulations!

Happy that England won but we also lost David English who was President of my club for many years. A truly amazing man who would light up every AGM with his great sense of humour.
Connected to so many famous people and did so much for the English Game with his Bunbury School Cricket.
He would have been over the moon with yesterdays victory..
So personally its a little bittersweet for me.

RIP David.

England were the best team in the tournament well deserved.

They won't win the world cup next year without Ben Stokes.
