Is it possible Pakistan India will avoid each other in semi finals if they both qualify?

I wish someone can post by how many runs or wickets Pakistan should beat Namibia so that we can qualify? I am too lazy and too much in pain of defeat to research that myself.
It’s a virtual qualifier for Pak. They win they go through. Lose they are out. No need to worry about NRR

Will be a big disappointment for Ind if they dont win this WC. They are the best team here and anything short of a WC win will be a letdown.

All Zim have to do is enjoy a few cups of tea and let the rain fall down on AU hopes.

After New Zealand's win over Canada today, England and the Kiwis are through to the Super 8 stage:

India won 72% of all their T20Is in history, no other full member nation won 60% of their games. They are the best team in T20Is era. Positive win rate against all teams. It’s a travesty that they won only 2 WCs and tied with England and West Indies. India should win this tournament from here, their bogie team Australia is also eliminated.

Mohammad Amir goes all out, predicts India won't qualify for T20 World Cup semi-finals: 'Batting collapsed in all games'

Tomorrow's game ll determine Pakistan's fate more or less. NZ ll go though if they trash SL and boost NRR. Pakistan needs SL to trash NZ.

This time for South Africa!

India looks good to win but it’s not guaranteed. NZ qualifying was a bit if a lottery but they are also a very capable team. England peaked at the right time but an inferior side to both SA and India.
Final will he played most likely between India and SA and India usually get the tactics right in pressure situations.

Bharat is still stuck in it's base form this entire tournament. The moment they click, it's over for any opponent, be it Eng or SA.

Looks like the World Champions have peaked at the right time but all 4 can topple each other on any given day.

India have won back to back ICC tournaments in 2024 & 2025, South Africa are WTC 2025 Champions, England are 2022 T20WC winners & New Zealand too have won the WTC in 2017.

I urge ICC to reconsider putting the World Cup on hold in light of the ongoing war situation in the Middle East. Given the current circumstances, I believe it would be prudent to call off the event until there is greater stability and safety for everyone involved.

In the meantime, Mohsin Naqvi could kindly offer to keep the trophy safe in his cabinet until matters are resolved and we can proceed with the tournament. This gesture ensures the security of the trophy while we await a more suitable time for the World Cup.

With the situation intensifying and war now at your doorstep, I understand that everyone will have their own perspective and way of coping. If you choose to step back or prefer to ignore these events, that is entirely your choice.

India or New Zealand
semi-final between New Zealand and South Africa is expected to be a thrilling contest, with the pitch expected to be flat. Both teams boast a number of powerful batsmen.

The same applies to the second semi-final between India and England.

I can't wait.

Richard Illingworth and Alex Wharf will be the on-field umpires for the first ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand on Wednesday.

Illingworth was in the middle for South Africa’s victory at this stage two years ago, when the Proteas dismissed Afghanistan for 56 and won by nine wickets, while Wharf oversaw New Zealand’s win over the same opposition in the group stage this time around.

The pair will be joined in Kolkata by Nitin Menon as third umpire, with Rod Tucker in place as fourth umpire and Javagal Srinath appointed as match referee.

The second semi-final between India and England, in Mumbai, will be overseen by on-field umpires Chris Gaffaney and Allahuddien Paleker.

The two nations met at the same stage in 2024, a match India won by 68 runs, with Gaffaney also in place for that one. In this competition so far, he has been in the middle for India’s matches against South Africa and the West Indies.

Paleker has taken control of two England matches, against the West Indies and Scotland, as well as India’s victory over the Netherlands.

Adrian Holdstock will be the third umpire in Mumbai, with Paul Reiffel the fourth umpire. Andy Pycroft is the match referee.

England have better spinners than India - Vaughan

Former England captain Michael Vaughan says England have a better spin attack than India and he has a "funny feeling" Harry Brook's side will win Thursday's T20 World Cup semi-final in Mumbai.

India came into the tournament as overwhelming favourites but were beaten by South Africa in the Super 8s phase and stuttered in the group stage.

England are yet to produce a complete performance but have progressed to the last four with five successive wins, having come through a series of tight finishes.

"They seem to have found a way of winning," Vaughan told the Test Match Special podcast.

"The win against New Zealand, even though a dead rubber, to get over the line was a great effort."

England's batting has failed to fire throughout the tournament. Captain Harry Brook scored a sensational century against Pakistan but there have been few other match-winning contributions.

But Vaughan pointed to their bowling – the spin of Adil Rashid, Liam Dawson and Will Jacks, plus the seam of Jofra Archer, Sam Curran and Jamie Overton – as a strength.

"England have a better spin attack than India," said Vaughan.

"[Varun] Chakravarthy has been got at. Dawson, Rashid and Will Jacks have been the best trio in the tournament in terms of spin."

Spinner Chakravarthy is India's leading wicket-taker in the tournament but in key matches against West Indies and South Africa he has conceded 40 and 47 runs respectively.

The co-hosts have the option of bringing in wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who has a fine record against England in all formats, but he has only bowled three overs in the tournament.

England's fielding has been absolutely exceptional," Vaughan added.

"They look really alert. England's running between the wickets has been exceptional.

"The small percentage things you can control themselves, England seem to be doing very well.

"I just have a funny feeling England can get the job done in Mumbai."

England look set to again back out-of-form opener Jos Buttler, who has returned five single-figure scores in a row at this tournament.

Vaughan said Buttler is focussing too much on his technique while attempting to get out of his rut.

"You always look at your technique when you are not feeling as good as you have done," he said.

"Jos is a hand-eye player. Just stare right in the middle of the ball and react to the deliveries.

"The shots he hasn't been playing are the ramp shots. I think this pitch will suit that shot and to play that shot you have to stare at the ball right onto the bat.

"When he is playing well he gets those shots out early."

NZ is very underrated in subcontinent condition , india defeated them 4-1 but still they are way better than than result showed.

They have covered most of the bases.

Allen, seifert- Destructive openers

Rachin, Philips, Mitchell, Chapman - Sold middle order player's

Santner is a quality spinners and more than handy Batsman

Bracewell - utility spin allrounder for subcontinent condition

Henry, Duffy, Ferguson - quality Pacers

For me they are second favourite team to win the tournament.
