Great effort by the two batsmen regardless of the quality of opposition.

Hoping for a CPEC Trophy against China next.

These two can challenge the partnership record set by Gayle and Samuels.

:)) come on, its a record no matter the quality of opposition. If nothing else, it takes temperament to bat this long.

I just hope that they are not hyped as better than Gilchrist and Hayden.

Congrats! Fakhar already looks best pakistani LOI batsman in their history. What you guys say?

It is now the highest partnership for ANY WICKET for Pakistan in ODIs. Batting on 269 now.

Edit needed tbh Arham_PakFan, Congratulations to Fakhar and Imam, highest ever partnership for Pakistan in ODIs.

Pakistan should tour UAE next, I'm sure Imam can break Fakhar's record for fastest to 1,000 and Fakhar can break the record for fastest to 2,000 runs.

Sorry, just salty about this record.

What is the highest, any wicket partnership in ODI cricket by any team?

Rohit sharma should be his batting coach .

Why are you proud? This team is a joke, you would want such a record to be held against a quality team. Not a depleted minnow.

A few years back Hamish Marshall and McCullum went wild against Ireland, I couldn't have cared less about that game and didn't take any of those numbers or stats seriously. I actually ignore them when looking through stats.

Fakhar is good enough to score a bucket load of runs against Australia and New Zealand in the UAE coming up

Imam on the other hand...

Let's be honest, Rohit probably could have scored 300 against them and pushed 400. He's scored against better opposition and this Zimbabwe team has shown nothing.

Whats your problem? If they fail, you tell us all that Pakistan cricket is dead.If they do well you ignore it or claim it was just a fluke/against weak opposition.Kabhi khush bhi hojaya karo.

I am just stating things are they are. I know quality of opposition is not great.

See, this is what really makes people cringe.

Let's schedule a series with Hong Kong next. I'm sure Malik will break the record for higher individual score.

Zyada ho gaya

How? He has scored against us in finals in pressure. He is consistent as well and will be fastest ever to 1000 runs for pak. So only thing if he has to perform like this for few more year and will be better than all of them.

Idk why people are crying. Its a fact that this record belongs to Pakistan now. Keep crying for nothing.

Let him perform for a few more years before we can even think of saying this. As of now he's had a tremendous start

In LOI's he reminds me much of shikhar dhawan. Both Left handers got great start to carriers and SD performed well throughout ct 2013 while fakhar did in ct final 2017.

Fakhar is better mentally than Dhawan. Dhawan throws away his wicket more often than not

Says a lot about your comprehension skills if thats what you took out of my post

On a lighter note, where is Dhawan's hundred in an ICC final? :shh
Dhawan was class in India's CT win. Think he might have even been player of the tournament.

Dot balls still a big issue for us. Both openers wasted too many ball.

It’s extremely rich of Indians coming in here and complaining about the level of opposition when they are notorious for arranging multiple series against Sri Lanka to boost their averages and ranking.

No offense, but no SL team in history has been as bad as this Zimbabwe team Pakistan have been playing.

Not like Sharma scored his double hundreds against the best bowlers in the world:sendoff

Australia and Sri Lanka are definitely not as poor as this Zimbabwe C side. Anyway a double century is a double century.

But its amazing to see the people hyping it up are the same people who were deriding the Indian series win in South Africa calling it a depleted side but have no qualms in celebrating a record against a c team of a minnow.

So you think that Sri Lanka is as bad as Zimbabwe C team? OK.

The same side that last thrashed Pakistan in UAE Tests and has bullied South Africa this week? Comparing them to Zimbabwe C?

No need to attack just because it was against a weak team lol. All the other player scored 200 after playing at least 100 odis fakhar did it after playing 16.

200 @ SR 134 isn't great imo. It simply tells there are too many dot balls.

Ok for so called cricket experts, which top bowler of Zimbbawe is missing which was there when India or any other team last toured?
Dont say Jarvis as he has just returned to Zimbabwe cricket

Lol that is how I laugh when Yadav, Bhuvi and Bumrah are compared with player of the tournament CT 17 Hasan Ali. 😂

Bumrah is compared to Hasan Ali. Their records in ODIs are very similar and Bumrah has better test numbers.

Here Fakhar doesnt even gave 1000 odi runs while Dhawan has close to 4500 runs. There is no competition. Except that Fakhar Zaman is better at bashing Zim.

If this match was in one of New Zealand's back garden sized grounds they would've put on 600...

Weird how salty people are about this record.

Watch how these same people call Pant world class when he scores a meaningless 100 against England A or something

I mean if this was fans of some other team being salty it might have been acceptable, but when NZ fans do it is hilarious because you guys even get whitewashed by minnows Bangladesh :))

Jokes aside, it might be time for Imam's thread soon. He's 566 away with 12 games to go. 9 if Fakhar scores 20 next game obviously :D

2 hundreds in next two games..... and he could be 350 away with 10/7 games left :))

We beat you 5-0 in January.

Bangladesh can troll us for our losses, Pakistani's can't until they actually beat us.

And yet Pakistan found themselves 32/8 here in January.

Like I said above, Bangladesh can troll us, you can't.

You've won like 2 ODIs against us in a half a decade.

Yeah with half our main side injured. Sure you can milk that victory for the next 10 years, that is probably the biggest cricketing achievement in NZ history :))

Best day ever in NZ cricket :)))
That makes no sense, you've literally won 2 ODI matches against us in 7 years. Both of which were against a B/C team in UAE. FYI, you lost that series too.

Last 6-7 years wast the ideal period for Pakistan team, now we have got a good young team still learning its craft but has the potential to produce that good era.

Glad you restricted it to 7 years :)))

Fair, you have a really good young team which in its first Test won an ICC trophy and has accomplished more than this current NZ generation ever has.
