roy, buttler, stokes, plunkett, archer were missing, this was a decidedly weakened england team.
good to win at least one game on the tour, but objectively pak do not have a plan B when world class batsmen go full ham on them, also no power hitters in the middle order is a big problem.

The irony here, the fact that even our best bowlers apart from Shaheen are the experienced guys like Abbas, Wahab, Amir, etc. The youngsters seem to give away too many runs. Hopefully they come good but for the past year or two they’ve been atrocious.
Imagine this batting attack with the bowling attack of 2010, with Ajmal, Afridi, Gul, Amir, Asif, and Wahab as our backup. We’d be unbeatable.
When has our ODI team ever consistently scored 180+ in T20I’s and 300+ in ODI’s. Bowling really needs to pick it up.
