Congratulations to Pakistan U19 on historic ACC U19 Asia Cup 2025 triumph with dominance over India U19

Congratulations to Pakistan fans on this thumping win over our boys. It’s a great sign for Pakistan cricket showing that there is a lot of good young talent in Pakistan cricket. This will is much needed for you. Well done and wishing the young boys well for a great future.

Tough luck India boys. But this is a good lesson learnt at young age. You’re never too big.

How was the sunday, parosis?

Life seems to be hard outside the fictional bollyeood, eh?

Congratulations to Pakistan fans! This was a shellacking!! Your opener is top class and has tremendous potential to succeed in international cricket, although the rest of the batters seem to need a little more exposure and experience.
U19s are a window into the future and it looks like you will continue to do well.

Sad and petty but exactly as i predicted, on the one off occasions when the Pakistani team beats India on a big stage, the Indian players unable to digest the defeat will retort to mocking their fellow Pakistani counterparts by referring to their IPL earnings. This is exactly what that bacha Suryavanshi did.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced a major reward for the Pakistan Under-19 cricket team following their ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 title victory, ARY News reported, citing sources.

Sources stated that the PCB Chairman has announced a whopping cash prize of Rs 5 million for every member of the winning squad. Naqvi met with the players in Dubai shortly after their victory to announce the reward.

While addressing the team, the PCB Chairman said, “You all are warriors, and you have made the nation proud.”

During a conversation with the “Player of the Match, Sameer Minhas, who scored a historic 172 runs off 113 balls, Naqvi said: “You are our pride, and you played an exceptional game today.”

Sources further revealed that the Chairman made a personal commitment to the young star, announcing that the PCB will bear all of his expenses for the next two years.

Pakistan seems to be producing some serious talents lately in batting. Shahzaib Khan, Shamyl Hussain, Maaz Sadaqat and now Sameer Minhas. All of them have insane ability to play modern game. The only question is can PCB have a plan to build their career or they will be lost like hundreds in past.

Head coach Shahid Anwer said that Pakistan had achieved their goal of playing “fearless but not careless cricket” after they won the Under-19 Asia Cup with a crushing victory over India on Sunday

Opener Sameer Minhas led the way for Pakistan at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai with a breathtaking 172 to set up a massive 191-run victory for his side.

“We began a process on June 17 [this year],” recalled Shahid at a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, following the team’s arrival and a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif where a Rs10million cash award was announced.

“It was an unprecedented step … we called up 70 players, conducted trials and gave each player four matches each and then they participated in a regional One-day tournament,” he added.

“The top performers, 30 of them, then took part in a five-month long camp … that’s how the team was made.

“We wanted to play fearless but not careless cricket. We wanted a united team and the result is in front of us.”

Team mentor and manager Sarfaraz Ahmed, who led Pakistan to the Under-19 World Cup crown in 2006, hailed a “team effort”.

“We had players that had the potential to do something big,” said Sarfaraz.

“The coaches did a lot of hard work and the players responded … our job was to give them the confidence to play to their full potential. My message to them was to play their natural game, and in a way that they remember it for the rest of their lives.”

Captain Farhan Yousaf said the players had the full backing of the team management.

“We spoke about playing fearless cricket and the management backed us to play our natural game,” he said.

“We were told us that any loss will be our [management’s] concern, while any victory will be attributed to your efforts. Our morale never went down.”

Shahid pointed to the fact that the coaching staff was lucky to have been blessed with qualified players.

“In age group cricket, most of the work is on basics,” he said. “We were lucky in the sense that these players had two qualities that we only needed to polish: one that they didn’t give up and second that they were adaptable.”

Sameer’s stunning ton was naturally one of the major talking points at the news conference and the batter said that he stuck to his natural game.

“I was focused on doing well and making runs in the final and that helped me,” said Sameer.

The political rivalry between India and Pakistan, more often than not, spills onto the cricket field and Sarfaraz said he made sure his players did not make any vile gestures in response to their counterparts.

India skipped the customary handshakes; a practice they have been carrying on since the men’s Asia Cup T20 earlier this year while one of their batters, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, made a ‘shoe-pointing’ gesture after his dismissal.

“India’s behavior regarding the game was not good, and their players’ conduct was unethical,” he said. “But we celebrated the victory, displaying sportsman’s spirit.”

Massive congratulations to the young kids, pride of the nation. We have a lot of good up and coming talent but they face an uphill battle against the Saya mafia which is at its weakest point since their players are simply exposed. I hope Naqvi stays in power for long, two years and Saya mafia should be burried. This t20 worldcup might end Babar’s career in the format forever. We need actual capable players like Maaz, Minhas in the team. Lets wait and watch.

Big paycheck for each lad for crushing Indian side

As per reports:

The BCCI has decided to conduct a formal review of India’s U19 Asia Cup campaign after the Ayush Mhatre-led side suffered a heavy 191-run defeat to Pakistan in the final. Despite a flawless run to the summit clash, India faltered badly in Dubai, conceding 347/8 before being bowled out for just 156. During its apex council meeting, the board resolved to seek explanations from team manager Salil Datar, while also holding deeper discussions with head coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar and captain Mhatre—going beyond the routine post-tournament process.

The review gains added importance with the U19 World Cup around the corner, as the board looks to address shortcomings early. Alongside performance concerns, player behaviour in the heated final may also be scrutinized, with incidents involving Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Mhatre clashing with Pakistan pacer Ali Raza drawing attention. By tightening accountability and discipline, the BCCI aims to ensure India’s young side is better prepared for the global stage.

AS PER REPORTS:

At Islamabad Airport, large groups of madrassa students from the Rawalpindi–Islamabad area gathered after being told that the Imam-e-Kaaba would be arriving. In reality, it was Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket team returning home. Reports suggest that government authorities misinformed the students, leading them to believe they were welcoming a religious figure. The result was a crowded airport filled with students expecting the Imam, but they instead greeted the youth cricket squad.

We do not know if it will be JUST ONE OFF OR NOT!

I dislike pessimism especially when there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic. This is a very strong bowling attack. Yes, the batting needs work, but this is a learning phase for these kids. Congratulations to them, and hopefully Minhas’s confidence rubs off on the rest, strengthening the upper and middle order as we prepare for the next World Cup.

These wins should be cherished. For some posters here, apparently, it does not matter because it was a 'minnow tournament' according to them. But I believe it's preparing next gen of our cricketers and surely has come with lots of confidence boost to compete with strong teams like India and others in future, and showing that these youngsters have potential to defeat.

Mashallah Mardemomin: Impressive how you managed to contaminate basic human sentiments by forcing Islam/religion into EVERYTHING.

Under-19 has been the main supply of players for Indian team for a long time. Although IPL gives better exposure these days. This si the only platform for kids who can't hit sixes at will. Vaibhav already got exposure due to that. Think about guys like Vihan malhotra, Kundu, Vedant. They can't hit sixes like him. They won't play IPL for a while. So this is where they can showcase their skills.
