What's new

Congratulations to Shaun Marsh and Peter Handscomb for batting 50 overs and saving the Ranchi Test

Top knock ,expected England to play the way Aus have played, good to see their growth and hopefully they will do well in Bangladesh as well now.

Shaun Marshmellow of all people.

Hahahhahaha

I mean I actually like him as a player but last guy I'd expect to break a decade long drought of Australian successfully batting to save a test.

Leave India to me

asia that too against jaddu/ashwin .handscomb was looking special player against us in aus .

aus have found gem of player in peter..i think this was probably best partnership after faf and

Amazing display by Australia, they are well on their way to become the No1 test side soon if they can continue this

There were no demons in the pitch apart from few patches of rough on the side for Jadeja

They should have been embarrassed if they didn't pull this off

I told you Siffy. :))

Hope Napa and Tusker are doing well. :yk2 :)))

Dharamsala should be a cracker!

Jadeja is well known for destroying batting line up on these kind of surfaces, they did very well to save the match. Give credit where its due

Reminded me of the Akmal Razzaq rear guard which humiliated India in Mohali

Goes to show Pakistan faced a new improved Aus team with the likes of Handscombe and Renshaw who are brilliant finds.

If Aus win the toss in the final test, the pressure of losing might be too much for India.

Yet how many teams pull it off. There is a thing called pressure which can significantly affect player performance. Otherwise, all tests not in dust bowls or green tracks would have been draws

If you want to bat out the last day for a draw, this was the dream-surface one can ask for..

Of course decent effort but nothing surprising.

Impressive performance by both. Marsh proving some critics wrong and Handscombe showing a talent he is. Has plenty of character and showcased his ability to play spin and use his feet.

Indeed, on to Dharmasala :)

Pretty impressive the way Australia got in new batsmen like Handscomb and Renshaw. That is the thing about Aussies, never count them out. After string of losses to SA, they reloaded and beat them in the final Test.

Nah, Indian batting has resumed its normal service. Kohli or no Kohli, expect them to score 500+ on reasonable tracks.

Handscomb really frustrated us and took our bowlers to cleaners.

Here he is showing some real grit, Fantastic stuff.

England have shown teams how to bat in India, Australia have shown how to bowl to India.

Despite India made 603, they didn't do it with ease scoring at a good rate like they did in previous 3 instances. They toiled their way to it and hence left little time for bowlers to pick 10 wickets.

Credit goes as much to Australia's spinners and pacers as it does to these 2.

Under Smith Australia has moved from a team that tried to attack its way out of trouble to a team that guts it out in tough times.

Hey remember its not our team that is in need of preparations to handle the upcomming challenge from WI, Afg and Nepal :)

That is nothing more than a mere dream.

I am sure you would have been told that you were dreaming if prior to the current series someone told you that Australia would win the first Test... but India winning everywhere is no dream, the batting is good enough to pressure the opposition in almost every game (the first Test being the notable exception).

Even if surface was not usual difficult on the 5th day, credit to Aussies for batting hard.

Last test should be heck of a game.

Lame.

Think next time you're munching on your pav bhaji, you should think of a better response rather than repeating yourself like a broken record. :))

And besides, struggling to beat Australia on your own doctored pitches is honestly worse than playing Afghanistan! :)))
