Could future ball-tampering cases be influenced by Cricket Australia's verdict?

Year bans given to two senior player while a junior player involves get a 9month ban.

In the past, other boards havent taken ball tempring very seriously. Even ICC bans players for a single match for such an offence.

But after the way Cricket Australia acted.
Do you think if a player from any other country caught in the act will have to face heavy punishments?

Also, would any pplayers dare to do it in Australia or against them?

I think if it happens in any country now it will be taken quite seriously following the standard set by CA.

I believe so. You won't see players going for it anymore.

You won’t see such blatant tampering.. The only reason these guys got served such a huge punishment was because the video evidence was just too damning..

As a serial ball tamperer (sanctioned twice by the ICC) poor Faf must be pretty nervous.

That is the idea here. Other countries better keep their players in check. It needs some courage and integrity to award such a huge penalty for two world class players.

I think it depends on how his replacements go. Who's opening with Renshaw?

EDIT - posted on the wrong thread. As for this topic, I hope it does set a precedent.

No other country will care.

Most countries will play the racist card like the BCCI did when Tendulkar got caught cheating.

Or when an Indian calls a player like Symmonds a monkey they will pack their bags and go home.

They will even lie in front of a high court judge.

That's why it's quite funny seeing the reactions on this forum.

When they have done it too.

No.

England just recently tried sneaking Stokes in after a brawl until people called them out. Boards don't behave like the CA.

The CA precedence will certainly give people a standard to use and to critique boards that aren't as harsh for similar offenses. I very much doubt it will actually affect, say, the PCB in how they come down if similar ball tampering evidence is found, even including the captain etc.

U will see, by handing down 1 year ban ACB will create sympathy for the trio and later after reappeailng ban will be reduced as mentioned by Sutherland they reappear clause, now we are seeing anger disappear and sympathy starts to come out, next process is reappear by trio and ban reduction, this must mostly talked between them to reduce public pressure
