Could hosting the PSL final in Lahore and the new "draft" have a negative effect on foreign players?

I really hope the foreign players like McCullum, KP, Watson, Gayle, Mahela, Sanga etc. do not get angered by the fact that they are being "replaced" just to host the final in Lahore. Similarly, I hope they do not get the impression that their opinions and concerns are not being considered.

The last thing we would need in the PSL if for the foreign players to hold a grudge and refuse to play in the PSL next season due to this issue.

Other than the obvious security and planning issues - I hope man management is also done very carefully and sensitive to their feelings.

Yes, which is why I think it's selfish of them going to Pakistan and playing the final, especially after a bomb blast just recently.

Unless these guys who are forced to miss out because they don't want to put their lives at risk still get paid.

It's just that travelling to Pakistan might be a bridge too far at this stage, but I'm sure even that has a price that the PCB haven't cracked yet.

What about the repercussions of that though? - it could many of those players off if they are being "replaced" due to PSL having a nonchalant attitude about their security concerns.

It's their choice if they do not want to go to lahore, no need for them to get upset if they have been asked. If anything it's some of the Pakistani public that will be upset at not seeing some of these foreign cricketers. Good enough for Sammy but not good enough for gayle? Pffffftt.

They will come scurrying every year for the rest of their careers as long as it does not conflict with the international schedule or the IPL schedule.
