There are some players who, when mentioned, will inevitably be paired with another player.

Here are some I can think of and the reasons:

Good reasons:
Wasim/Waqar - Reverse swing
Greenidge/Haynes - Gold standard for opening partnerships
Hayden/Langer - Gold standard for opening partnerships
Lillee/Marsh - Fast bowler/keeper pairing
Jayawardane/Sangakarra - Middle order stalwarts

Bad Reasons:
KP/Strauss - Dressing room rows
Shehzad/Akmal - Attitude issues
Hafeez/Malik - Perennial underperformance
Greg/Travor Chappel - Underarm

There are many others which are greats/pariahs of the game but not necessarily mentioned with others - such as Tendulkar, Ponting, Imran etc.
