No offense to some of the posters but they give premature statements and I have also seen many experts on TV saying how poor a particular player is and then when that players become a star they start praising him to moon.

But the thing abt TV experts or commentators they change their stance when a player exceeds their expectations but unfortunately many posters here if they are wrong about anybody they are just waiting for him to perform poorly so that they can prove their earlier statement right.

Hassan Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Junaid Khan etc they were been bashed consistently by some of the posters. Hassan and Fakhar have given very less chances for the haters to jump over them and some people are still waiting for their chance to tell how short is Hassan Ali to become successful or what a hack Fakhar is.

Sarfaraz did silent some crictics after winning CT17 but those who rated him as poor still dont let and oppurtunity pass by. Same is the case with Junaid Khan (Yes I admit he struggles sometimes) but he hasnt been that bad as some people make him out to be, the guy was the third highest wicket taker in CT 17 for God Sake. And there are many such players who many posters start hating for some reason or another and they carry on with their opinion so that they dont have to accept that they were wrong earlier.

Yes positive criticism should be done but criticism for the sake of criticism just to prove yourself to be right is pretty immature. Yes all the players are not perfect but when they improve and when they perform, one should be able to brave enough that yes I was wrong about my earlier perception of this player or yes they have improved.

Recent example is of Rahat Ali and some people still have been making fun of him, he has been oustanding in this PSL. Swing, pace, bounce and aggression everything was there. So why some people cant accept that he has bowled well and improved.

Another case is of youngster Shaheen Shah after his first two three matches many people were already writing a 17 years old guy off. In his matches after wards he bowled around 145kph and bowled a spell of 5 for 4.

Did SSA do anything before and after that 5 wkt haul?

Rahat Ali deserves credit. I cant remember a single poster happy at his inclusion in PSL
Anwar Ali is decent but is always criticised.

He was impressive at the death, he was still better one among the other bowlers including foreigners considering how much runs they were leaking. He went for only 28 in his 4 overs against PZ when they were chasing around 170 when Abbot and Mccglenghan both were struggling.

As a 17 year old bowling at around 145 kph and more importantly reversing the bowl at this age speaks a lot about his potential.

He definitely is not consistent with the new ball but showed that he definitely is a match winner on his day.

You forgot faheem Ashraf. Most of the posters here bashed him when he was announced in the squad for practice match against BD.Most knew nothing about him still were criticizing when he had not even played one game.

Exactly he was bashed for his bowling like there is no tmw and he proved his critics wrong. Yes he isnt Gary Sobers but players take time to get into groove in international cricket. There are many others who were bashed prematurely

Agree that some posters criticise for the sake of it but this is not limited to posters, there's analysts as well that keep doing the opposite, i.e. backing their favourites even when they are constantly failing and it's detrimental to the team.

Likewise, the best performers often don't get the credit they deserve and I think we're all guilty of that due to our innate biases.

Strongly disagree.

PP is a place where all kind diverse minds thrive.

If you stop premature rating of players or teams then what will fishbrains amongst us do?
