Lol at Harbhajans tweet. He should have a word with Sehwag who started this non-sense.

Wasim is all over the Moon. Looks like Amir relived his 92 memories. He will be proud of the boy He identified at age 13-14. Woww.

Still a bit annoyed Tendulkar congratulated the Indian hockey team on his twitter and no mention of the Pakistan team. There are millions of Tendulkar fans in Pakistan

WOW. That is news to me bhai. Fitting for Wasim to spot his successor like that, do you know the full story behind that?

He was at the game so the loss probably stung a bit more

Even Wasim might not remember that because those days He was still a huge star and had just retired.

I was a school kid who would daily read Sports Page of Daily News Paper " The News "

There was a Pepsi Under 15 talent hunt Program and Wasim was impressed by a skinny kid who was rapid for his age & physique. He was picked during trials in Rawalpindi.

2 years later I saw his name come up in a PCB Under 16 Camp.

And Amir actually has the potential to surpass Wasim.

Amir is bowling in the era of batting, and it looks like PCB management might change for the better.

LMAO

Even Sehwag was man enough to get the formalities out of the way and congratulate the winners. Didn't expect this bitterness from tendu, TBH.

Is he trying play it off as if the match didn't took place? Who is he trying to kid here.

If the hockey match was so important to him then maybe he should have gone there instead of being at the Oval ground.

Virat > tendu

Really disappointing to see that from Tendulkar, one of the biggest names in the sport and not even a bit of sportsmanship or even fan supper to acknowledge the spectacle he witnessed today.

Perhaps what Afridi said about Pakistanis having bigger hearts is true. :iqasim

His conduct is embarrassing to say the least.

He was at the ground watching the match. He was on the TV screen a couple of times.

Here it is acting as if nothing happened today.

Guys, Give Tendulkar a chance, he's still in an after match coaching session with Pandya as his assistant.

Excellent message by Shabby... we all need to be humble in victory (including myself)

Still a bit annoyed Tendulkar congratulated the Indian hockey team on his twitter and no mention of the Pakistan team. There are millions of Tendulkar fans in Pakistan
From what I have heard, Sachin was spotted in a hospitality box at The Oval today with the worst shirt ever seen on a human over the age of 6.

He was even being mocked for it in the online commentary.

So maybe he's still just in hiding.

Just imagine what we could do with a good first class system and international Cricket returning to Pak!! Only Pak can pull of such a remarkable victory. All tweets are appreciated including ones by India cricketers. Harbhajan should tell the badthameez Sehwag never to start the "baap beta" rubbish again! Credit to Indian cricketers that they distanced themselves from his ignorant comments.

Shame on u tendulkar u have no sports man spirit .... still remember he didn't even clap windies after they smashed india in mumbai last year

Tendu was a massive player but is a very sore loser. Ganguly, Dravid and Sanjay Manjrekar are not full of bitterness like him. You can tell from Tendu's body language and expressions that he can't handle defeat. You can tell a lot more about a person's class in how they handle defeat then how they celebrate victory.

the passion
theyre rubbing his bald head

tendulkar was watching when we won in 2009 T20 final. He's our good luck charm and should be given a ticket by PCB for every important Pakistan match :jf

Non issue guys, SRT is not a frequent Twitter user. Give benefit of doubt. Enjoy the win, instead of expecting praise from ex cricketers. Also most of the ex cricketers from India have congratulated Pak win, including Shewag :)

Also read in one of the article today ,looks like Kohli post match speech has become big hit in Pak. Lot of twitarazi from Pak have praised :kohli gracious words after defeat. Kudos to Kohli. Shane Warne and McCullum also liked his speech :19:

You are getting at something. We lost the last few big matches that SRT attended, like the t20WC 2016 SF against WI and now this one.

Agree with this. Tendu is a mental midget, cricketing achievements are one thing, class is defined by ones reaction to adverse circumstances.

Tendulkar has a lot on his mind... including the fact Virat Kholi is going to break all his records and upstage him in the Indian legendary ladder :27:

Come on man. Sachin is just a human and hence has his faults.

It would have been a non issue had he not tweeted on the same day referring to the hockey match.

The fact that Sehwag, despite his over the line banter, had it in him to congratulate the opposition, makes Sachin's conduct look even more embarrassing.

Tendulkar has always been a sore loser. A genius batsman who seldom praised anyone else.

Tendulkar was at the team how do you know he did not congratulate Pakistani team in person after the match itself? You don't have to live in virtual online world when you can do the same in real life, twitter is not the only place you can congratulate.. I would think Tendulkar visited Pakistani team dressing room and congratulated them in person.. He has been friends with Pakistani players if old interviews are to be believed

If Sachin had any intentions of doing such a brave thing at the very least he would have made sure that he was surrounded by the cameras. The players at the least would have taken a selfie with him and spread it around.

Such an act by Sachin would have been highly praiseworthy and would have done a great deal in bringing the people of both nations together.

The reason why you are guessing what he might have done instead of being sure of it is because simply it never happened.

Ofcourse it might not have happened but it could have happened as well.. I think Sachin is pretty cool with Pakistani players like Akram, Shoaib, Rameez etc so I don't see any hatred or ego problem.. Anyways why do you even care if he wished or not enjoy your moment why care about players from other countries?

I care because I am a human being. It is my human nature to be social and demanding praise when merited. Getting approval from the greats of the game adds nothing directly to our win or my worth as a person but it does feel good and heartening.

It's just part of sportsmanship and basic human courtesy. We congratulate each others on our wins and commiserate each other's loss.

Now considering I saw Sachin on my TV screen enjoying the match (when it was still open) at the ground, makes it even more obvious why it's natural to expect two words from him regarding the game he just witnessed. Tendulkar is a giant of the game so a congratulations from him isn't the same as a street vendor congratulating.

It would have been ok if he hadn't tweeted anything but he still goes on to congratulate Indian hockey team, which is fair game but it's embarrassing that he had no words for the other unimportant game which played on the same day and he saw live.

Whats more embarrassing is to see Sehwag being a bigger man. Between the two I liked Sachin better. So you could say as a Sachin fan I was hoping to hear some positive remarks from him on the game. Two word of praise.

Sachin chose to be a sore loser. Sehwag chose to be a bigger man.

Honestly from now onwards Sehwag can make as many over the top banners as he may like. I'd still regard him as a better person than Sachin.

Sachin chose to be a sore loser. Sehwag chose to be a bigger man.

Honestly from now onwards Sehwag can make as many over the top banners as he may like. I'd still regard him as a better person than Sachin.

Fair enough if as a fan his praise matters so much to you and other fans I can understand where you are coming from..

If India had won I would not have personally cared if Wasim or Imran khan had congratulated India or not.. Wouldn't even have known if they had unless someone posted about it on PP..

But I see where you are coming from and I would think Sachin must have congratulated your team after the match.. I don't see a reason for him not to congratulate your team while being on the ground..

During the middle overs of Pakistan batting, Sachin tweeted "Dil Dil Pakistan". But deleted after few minutes
