I heard rumors that tendulkar gets his bats made from England and Australia and he ditched Bdm and bas cricket bats. I don't know how much this is true because I recently saw tendulkar with a "PR" cricket bat and I heard on the news that a bat specialist specifically makes his bat for him. I don't kno what's the truth and many of u seem educated in what bats the players use so can someone please tell me what bat/bats tendulkar uses.

As far as I know :Tendulkar uses bats made according to his specs by almost every bat maker in the world.....

Almost every bat maker will say that they have made bats for Tendulkar.....

That is all I know....If I am wrong then correct Me.....

How strong you are ?? His bat weight is over 3 pounds which is quite much for normal guys.

lmao yea im not that strong but want something that matches his blade. and the adidas master blaster certainly is a rip off and doesnt match his blade whatsoever

This bat comes a lot close to the shape of Tendulkar's bat
(Not saying he uses this bat but this bat has the similar profile & everything)....

MRF bats used to be the same shape.

So did BDM.

and BAS as well.

But lately all bats have concaving for the big edges etc.

you hav to look through a few bats - you should find one.

Hammer Cricket Bat CO has a Berserker T20 ST which is made to the specs of Sachin from a bat maker in UK (who Im assuming is Tim Keeley...who most likely has made bats for Sachin in the past or now) but the M&H Master is also his shape (but you wont find one under 3 lbs)...as far as I am aware Hammer's are in the 2.9-3+ range

Thanks so much for this input man I really really appreciate it. I was wondering who made hammers bats and u answered it thank u

Aren't Hammer quite expensive.... ?? I would rather go for a renowned brand....

Well I mean Newbery is expensive, so is M&H (and Julian doesnt even make them anymore)...yea the Hammer bats are a mid-premium price tag but considering even lots of the Gunn & Moore premium $500+ bats are turning out to be planks (Have heard the same about certain Gray Nicolls as well...unconfirmed) and they are made by TK and the ones that dont say made in UK, that say made in NZ are made by James Laver (I think dont quote me on that) but I am fairly certain most are Tim Keeley made (and he makes cannons)

I actually bought one from Jason the ST plat version.

Il post pics and review onces i get it.

Should be here by next week.

Regards
Sammi

I saw once on SKY SPORTS who visited NEWBERY factory. And this factory they told Indians player are geting bats from them. It was Rohait Sharma or that left hander cant rember his name for some reason.

I mail newbery asked if u could visit there factory after watching SKY program but they said NO :)

lmao i dont think any left hander from indian team gets their bats from newberry.

jadeja uses sg, yuvraj uses ton, raina uses sg, gambhir uses ton

i think tendulkar uses bdm or bas mostly. and he might use newberry but not sureee

hey, everyone many appeal that they make bats for the master.even he got made his bats from many, but from his childhood,he had been using rns larsons till now,rns doesn't stamp rns in side for bats made for st.even the rns stamp can be erased by sanding lightly.if u couldn't believe, see the bats made by them below:

To try and put this debate to rest...when it comes to Sachin which batmaker does'nt want to make a bat for him..the answer is nobody..from what I have heard from people is he uses mainly BAS, RNS and Newbery but in the past as used SS too..Also who can forget when he first came onto the seen that he wielded a Slazenger V12!!...The bat that he scored around 13 hundreds which included the 200 was a BAS and he only changed this as it was falling to pieces during the world Cup 2011 vs England and used a NEWBERY in that match with similar profile and shape as the B52 BOMBER!

How can you be so sure?

How can you be so sure?
As when he scored the 200 vs SA in the ODI you could clearly see the BAS on the edges of the bat..also the Newbery he used mid way through the WC you can tell from the springs on the handle and the finish it was Newbery..

Lol...you could see the springs on the handle? You sounded really confident in your earlier post as if you were 100% sure abt it.

We have talked about "the Tendulkar bat" and it was a BAS the edges were stamped

^Not only talking about Sachin but even Kohli,Gambhir,Rohit etc have SS bats or may have stamped SS logo in their bats.....Which is unlikely..

I wonder if these are actual SS bats or if SS is paying the players to get the SS logo burnt on the sides..

yup he is using SS ton as well... in one of the games he used a plain SS Ton bat....next game he had it stickered with Adidas....

To me this doesn't make sense, how is Adidas letting this happen?

Its obviously for sponsorship from SS, otherwise 5 mins with sandpaper and acetone and the logos are gone. I'm not saying he isn't using a SS bat, but he is clearly getting paid to have those logos on the bat.

Dont understand how it helps SS though...for e.g. ppl see the Adidas Bat Sachin plays with want an Adidas...its not like they would see the SS logo burnt on the sides and go for SS bats...

May be adidas bats are made by SS now and not by SG anymore......that is why the stamp....the same thing which happens to Boom boom bats

hey you stole my words about the new SS.but gud response time have to say!!!

Adidas still made by SG. But its not clear whether SS are paying the players to have their logo embossed into the wood, or if the players are using SS on their own. The fact that Kohli, Raina, Dhoni etc have the New SS "S" on their edges now and not the "TON", means that SS is either voluntarily giving them away for them to use, or paying them. Its no coincidence that Dhoni, Raina, Kohli, Afridi all have the new SS "S" on their edge at the same time.

Well, all this is just my guess work, but even Andre Russell has the "TON" hiding under his puma edge stickers as well as Dwayne Bravo.

Also, I know RNS makes some of Sachin's bat (as well as some for Lara in his time).

The SS bat sachin has in the IPL pic above doesn't look a SS shape, so its either it was custom made or they just burnt it into his old bat whether RNS, BAS, Tim Keeley made etc.

These are all SS bats.

The "S" logo can also be seen in V.Kohli's SS pad.

you're missing the point mate. What we are trying to say, is that its a possibility that SS is saying to the players "hey, bring in your personal bat, we don't care if its RNS, BAS, Tim Keeley, Robinson made etc, just bring in your bat, we stamp on the "TON" or "S" mark on the edge and pay you to publicize our brand name.

We know the marks are SS trademark, but what we don't know is if they're genuine SS bats but Nike sticker in Kohli case, Reebok in Dhoni case etc.

Was talking to an Indian dealer yesterday, he hinted that it may indeed be a possibility that SS are paying the players to wear the SS mark on their personal bats (although some can very well be genuine SS bats).

now that's quite interesting, as one point shows us that some of the bats above showed pros are holding these days don't match ss profiles, so from this we can assume that those are not ss bats, just ss is paying them to get a stamp on their own bat.... in the mean time when these very same pros in some games carry bats that do not carry TON branding on the edges, especially when these pros are playing in RSA or AUS , due to more bouncy tracks they carry different bats, and those are without TON branding, so my point is that if ss is paying them to have TON branding on the edges of their bat then why in some games regardless in sub continent of overseas that TON branding is missing? totally confusing for me at least.

Could be because the players personal bats that are branded ton are the ones they got made by Indian makers with more lower/mid range middles??? So when they go overseas and say by a bat from an Aussie maker, impossible to get the TON stamped on it?

Thats my point na, if ss is paying them then they must have TON branding on each and every bat they're carrying!

Valid point. Kohli, MS Dhoni always seen with SS trademark on the edge.

Have seen Gambhir use TON for a few years but seems he's using SG now. Kohli started with SG but few months after to now is seen with TON. Rohit Sharma i've seen with TON mostly but recently saw him with SG then back to ton.

So SG and SS are the favoured bats of the Indians. Ashwin has SG. Sehwag, Dravid is/was SG also. VVS Laxman was Protas, I think Rahane started with Protas also but think he has TON now.

What surprises me is that Afridi is Seen now with the SS "S" mark. Thought he would be using Pakistani brands like all the other pakistanis.

last odi against pakistan, dhoni switched bats and the new bat didn't have the ss logo on the side

the reebok sticker was also a darker blue colour

in the above dhoni pic, the bat doesn't look like an SS shape bat

SS can make any bats they want.

the players dont get stock bats - mostly they send their favourite bats to companies and then copied bats are made in those companites.

SS put their marker on all bats they make. Sneaky but fair I guess.

Just saw that might be a ca plus 15 k because of the little mallet saying pre knocked in under Kholi nike sticker front on
