Inspired from the batting comparison thread I created this thread.

Clearly indian bowlers are nowhere near Pakistani bowlers in this format. What is IPL doing? Why isn't it creating bowlers that can bowl well for india? Rather its creating a pool of shameless bowlers who are ready to get a phainty anytime, anywhere and from anyone.

I was told by IPL fans money enhances their talent and skills. But I see no difference between these guys and yesteryear guys like Mohanty, Harvinder Singh, Doda Ganesh.

that bold part cracked me up :))

I think its just the way it always has been. Pakistan just keep finding bowlers somehow. Its a bit unexplainable. We cannot point a finger at one factor and say this is the reason. It just happens somehow.

India on the other hand obviously have superior batsmen overall.

Maybe it's because IPL pitches don't help the bowlers so they don't end up developing or improving their skills. However, Indian bowling is improving and catching up to Pakistan bowling. I remember everyone including experts were saying the Indian bowling was one of the best in CT, so give them time they will continue to improve.

They didn't have their 3 T20I bowlers today in Imad, Usman and Raees and still that attack looked better. Even Shaheen is way better than Chahar, Yadav and Kaul.

There is nothing to compare. Pakistani bowlers are much much better than this set of trundlers. Not even a single bowler is comparable.

I think first choice Indian T20 bowlers are pretty good while bench strength is on the weaker side. It is our conservative batting that is holding us back in this format.

Though pakistani bowlers are better but OP is exaggerating and just wants to vent his frustration on ipl.
Bhuvi- avg 22, economy-6.75
Bumrah- avg-19 ecinomy-6.7
Kuldeep - avg 19 economy 7 2
Chahal-avg 18 eco-7.8
And bumrah is the only fast bowler among top 10 t20 bowlers.
Now suddenly stats won't matter

There is no comparison. Theres a difference of day and night between Pakistan and India's bowling. In terms of bowling, India probably is 5th or 6th best t20I team.

Even if we see indias bowling record in t20s it is just behind pakistan and better than all others..

It's because of bowling that we are number one side in T20s and it is because of bowling that we have improved in ODIs.

All of them bowled 140 clicks. So none of them are 'trundlers'.And everbody goes for runs on pattas.Even Pakistan bowlers conceded over 180 runs today.

Even today 180 plus runs were scored against your bowers by a not-so-great Aussie team.So not exactly a day-night difference.

And our c class batting did chase that.if your batting did not what will be your excuse of batting failure and please i may remind you scotland have chase 300+ against same eng bowling so don.t say that the eng have better bowling attack

People, its T20 on a small patta ground.Bowlers will go for runs, especialy against a marauding batting lineup like this.Even Mitchell Starc was murdered by this batsmen twice in last ODI series in Australia.

I know you hate ipl, but this is getting sad. Bumrah, chahal, jadeja, ashwin , pandya brothers are all ipl products. If you see no difference in them and likes of mohanty and Ganesh, I suggest a visit to the optometrist.

My remarks were in response to the bowling difference.I rate your batting in T20s pretty good now with Fakhar Zaman in blistering form.

No, its not. When our 5 main bowlers - Bhuvi, Bumrah, Chahal, Yadav and Pandya are available, we are not too far from Pakistan. We are probably in top 3. Pakistan have better fast bowlers, but our spinners make up for it.

Its our bench strength thats not developed. But, put it this way, 5 years back no one would have given the main Indian bowlers a chance against the Pakistani line up. And we have caught up. A few more years, and with the investment going in, I would also expect our Bench strength to get stronger.

Jadeja, ashwin blah blah blah. Just look at the scorecard of today's match and then come back. Jadeja and ashwin are not even in the squad. Read the thread title again. Keyword is 'current'.

Fair assement i think india have improve leaps and bound in bowling .they are very underrated

IPL doesnt create players LOL. That's what your domestic cricket is for. The reason you don't like the IPL I think is due to your expectations. It helps your young players play under pressure but it doesn't help them develop their core skills. That's what Ranji trophy is for.

Also India attack isn't a club level attack. May have a had a bad series but it's help you do well in recent times.

Current bowling gave 198 vs England

Current Pak line up gave 183 vs Aussie C side.

Poor attempt at discrediting the IPL and Indian bowling.

Warner and Smith are the only ones not in the squad and smith isn't even that good of a t20 player.

This Aussie C side recently beat Eng and NZ in T20 series. Get educated before running mouth.

We have won against Australia when some of their top players weren't in the team as well. So it's a very poor excuse by a poor poster.

Bowling :

Pak bowling >>> Indian bowling

Batting :

India batting >> Pak batting

Overall Fielding :

India >> Pak

Catches dropped at crucial moments :

Pak >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> India

Kuldeep and Chahal are pretty good. Bumrah isn't bad either for this format

Pakistan didn't have #1 batsman Babar #3 bowler(when he last played) Imad, T20I specialist Rumman and they rested Usman and played a rookie in Shaheen, and the debutant Sahibzada.

Looking at all these even this is PAK C team. Fair for both the teams.

PAKISTAN defeated Australia and they are the #1 team, deservingly. And we are #2.

There is no shame in accepting Pakistan is a top T20I team, rather than lying to others and bringing our values down.

On the topic of Warner, he appears to have forgotten how to bat.

His scores in the Canada GT20: 1, 4, 1, 6, 0 :dw

We won in Australia. Warner and Smith both played the 1st T20.

But what has that got to do here?

Pakistan team gave away 183 runs againist a poor Aussie team which has been going downhill since.

Poor attacks on me wont help your poor attempts.

This is a fair assessment.

Conversely, India are far ahead in tests at the moment since Misbah/YK retired.

Call it as I see it.

He is now dodging questions coz he can't accept that this indian bowling attack is better than what we ever had in t20s.
And he has cunningly skipped my post in which i posted avg and eco of our bowlers.

It's about your consistency. You brought out the Aus B/C excuse here not me. Try again.

"This attack is better than our previous bowling attacks". Seriously? Read the thread title please.

@bhag veeru bhag moral of the story don't come to the conclusion before watching full film, this was a Maha patta, meaning ultra patta yet we comeback by restricting England to less than 200 on ultra patta pitch with small boundaries.

Haha! Joke of a thread! You keep crying how IPL helped India? The IPL Star Hardik Pandya won the series for India. What is your answer for this?

Funniest thing about some of the posters here in this thread is they haven't read the thread title and are just focussing on who dared to create this thread.

Indian T20 batting can be better than Pakistan T20 batting but Pak T20 bowling can not be better than India T20 bowling. LOL.

Pakistan is number 1 in T20's because of their bowling. If you think otherwise you are pretty delusional.

I would not rate any bowler in T20s. This is pyjama cricket and is meant to humiliate bowlers. No need to rate bowlers based on this format; its insulting for them.

Doesn't change the fact that Indian bowling is trash and as always 90% of the time we have to depend on our batting to win us matches.

Look ultra flat pitches take bowlers out of equation, 200 was par score on this pitch so to restrict them to under 200 was commendable despite non presence of 3 main bowlers, also u are over reacting its not about how you start the innings its how you end it that matters we gave 87 in last 10 while picking 7 wickets last 3 only produce 23.

Pakistan isn't number 1 because of their bowling? So is it because of their batting?

How many runs did they chase down today?

How many runs did they score vs NZ in NZ?

Cricket is a team game. A team can have a stronger or weaker section but ultimately both have to work to win.

Complicated for you to understand?

Bumrah is a decent T20 bowler specially in death overs. Rest of the Indian fast bowlers are not that great. While Pakistan has a list of decent fast bowlers in Amir, Hassan, Shaheen, Shinwari. So Pakistan has better fast bowlers.
Kuldeep Yadav is a great addition to Indian bowling but Pakistan has Shadab, so both teams are equal in spin department.

As virat rightly put in dragging ur opponent by 25-30 run is like 50 odd in ODIs and 100 odd in tests

Bumrah is only decent? Really? Have you even checked his stats?

What has Shaheen or Shinwari done? Anything special?

Go check the stats of Kuldeep and Chahal in T20s before saying Pakistan spin dept is equal.

there's a stat shows Midway of the match which about who has the more winning % after conceding 150+... India was 2nd on that list (first was Afganistan)... Point is India concede 150+ 23 times while Pakistan is 28 times.. So it better to say India's t20 bowling as good as Pak and batting way better than them (they were in bottom half in that table)

India won more than 50% of matches conceding 150 plus.

Every department and every player of India is sooooo good. Dont know why the rankings show Pak on top, must be a fluke.... :sm

The addition of Chahal, Kuldeep and Bumrah to India's bowling line-up has made their attack better than Pakistan's.

We used to stifle the opposition through Ajmal, Hafeez and Afridi but now we don't have that luxury. India have now got those two spinners that do the job that Pakistan used to do.

You got me wrong. Bumrah is among the better T20 bowlers. Right up there with Amir. But apart from him, India do not have anyone, maybe Kumar but that is about it.
Imad has better stats than Chahal.

Pakistan has the best LOI bowling attack in the world.

How?

In ODIs there is only Hasan Ali in top 20 rankings. India has 4 bowlers in top 20.

In T20s

India has 2 bowlers in top 20 Pakistan has 3.

Pakistan is by no stretch the best bowling side.

Bhuvi/Bumrah/Umesh/Kuldeep/Chahal/Pandya vs Aamer/Hasan/Faheem/shadab/Shaheen. Not sure why anyone would think Pakistan is way better than India. If anything India is in better shape. Aamer is one guy that can win you matches. In T20 top 5 bowlers are leggies. 1) Rashid 2) Shadab 3) Chahal 4) Sodhi 5) Badree. After few more matches kuldeep will also find a place there. At this point i would take India's first choice over Pakistan's first choice any day. Only guy who might pick from Pakistan is Aamer.

Imad was in top 3, when he last played. He is a starter in T20Is.

But yes we almost have similar attack.

Imad has better stats than Chahal.

Imad has better economy while Chahal has better avg as he is a wicket taker. Same with Kuldeep.

Don't take the OP too seriously.

He has had a bit of a credibility problem ever since he rated Robin Singh better than Hardik Pandya.

I'm sure that with Hardik doing what he did today both the OP and the likes of Varun are having problems digesting their dinners.

If some people need Burnol, others need Eno Salt :bhajji
