Defence budget since 2013-2019

Budget 2013-14 : Rs627 billion ($6.3 billion) for defence, a 10 per cent increase compared to Rs570 billion in the outgoing year, ending June 30.

Budget 2014-2015: Rs700. 2 billion for the 2014-15 fiscal year , compared with Rs 627.2 billion allocated in the outgoing fiscal year, showing an increase of Rs 73 billion.

Budget 2015-2016: Rs781.2 billion for the fiscal 2015-16 – an increase of Rs81 billion from the Rs700.2 billion.

Budget 2016-2017: For year 2016-17, the government allocated Rs860 billion billion compared with Rs781 billion ,showing an increase of approximately Rs80 billion 10-11% hike.

Budget 2017-2018: For the first time in Pakistan, defence outlay crossed the Rs1 trillion mark. The allocation for 2018-19 shows an increase of Rs180 billion, or 19.6 per cent.

Budget 2019-2020: Only 4.7 % increase.

The currency has depreciated over 15% over last year. so this is not really an increase rather it is a decrease because we buy weapons and maintenance and fuel in forex not rupees.
Secondly, the coalition support funds that the US need to provide for the work we did for them, have not been paid for two years, so we are doing a lot more work in the same budget.
There are idiots in the press who will show you how we overshot the 2019 budget and in previous years we never did that. They forget to tell you that by spending forex on a fake exchange rate they were insulating the military budget for currency fluctuations.

The question is valid since 1995, and I have been asking this question for a few years as well. I hope someone will be able to give me a satisfactory answer one day.

But but IK is a boot polishiya ) N league had massive issues with army in 2018 but still they went for the record increase in Army budget
