Babar bats at a similar strike rate to Shehzad but with a much higher average.

I would honestly rather have Hafeez in the team than Shehzad.
Atleast Hafeez can bowl and he would still average the same as shehzad with the bat.
And I am not a Hafeez fan at all. Thats just how much I dont want Shehzad in the team.

Selecting Shehzad will always be a poor decision. Joke of a batsman.

I think we forget Shehzad is not a regular feature in this Pakistan line up. He brings guts to this Pakistan team. I have no doubt to say that he is one of the better talented batsmen currently in Pakistan, poor lad has never been the same though since he got hit on the head. He has more to offer even in test cricket where he can easily outsource the likes of Azhar Alis and the Asad Shafiqs. We just need a captain who can boost his confidence. Not too long ago in New Zealand when the batting line up was in shambles, he showed tremendous courage and hit the world class kiwi pace attack all over the park. This enabled us to beat New Zealand in New Zealand which is not an easy feat these days!

Fakhar had a catch dropped after which Shehzad's catch got taken. He was unlucky in the last match. Was in good touch. The flak is unnecessary.
