He should just start calling Hafeez his daddy. All lefties struggle against Hafeez. But if Smith is sooo inept at picking Hafeez' wrong one, he should probably look for another job....

Or maybe not. In his 7th last international innings, he scored a match winning 80 odd against India in the WC.

I feel really sorry for kid (Smith) and even Pakstani fans will be feeling a tinge of concern for the kid says Jimmy Adams, no jimmy we dont :)))

Hafeez's wrong one? Is there such thing? It's just an arm ball which dips and goes straight.

P.S. I bowl pretty deadly off-spin, which goes straight.

Yeah I've been away for two reasons: A tour to W.I felt like anticlimax after the world cup....and most importantly I had a son last month. :D So obviously I haven't had any time to check the scores and swing by over here.

It's just a given that Hafeez will open the bowling when Devon Smith is opening at the other end! Seriously you know he is going to get out as soon as Hafeez comes on. :)) :))

Didn't he score a ton against England 6-7 years ago? He is a good player against fast bowlers but is having troubles against spin. If they had some good offies in domestic it could have helped his cause.

Poor Smith his bats still brand new this summer. He just plays down the wrong line. He should get another go because he may never recover from this if he is dropped.

He did nothing in the rest of the series and eventually got dropped, actually. He's rubbish and he cannot play seam bowling either. PakPassion seems to have this misconception that a player has everlasting merit if he manages a sole decent innings against England.
 
Lol at Devon Smith ... this guy cannot bat for crap. Bravo is close to his level, a TAD better.
 
He is being bamboozled by the arm ball which drifts in. Playing the wrong line, may be he should try to play more with the bat, then just pocking his pads. :fletcher

And don't worry Indian bowlers will make sure that he comes to form. :D

I think it would be best if Smith doesn't come to the crease if Hafeez is on the field.

It would save him the energy of walking back to the pavilion one ball later.
 
I can play him much better , hammering spinners is in my blood :P
 
Mohammad Hafeez has dismissed Devon Smith 6 times consecutively which includes the 2011 ICC CWC QF in Dhaka where he was trapped LBW in the 6th over of the innings, all 3 ODIs in the Digicel he played in before being dropped for the final 2 dead rubbers which West Indies went on to win & now during both innings of the 1st Test in Guyana. Smith is truly Hafeez's bunny. He must have nightmares about him. 5 of the 6 dismissals have been LBW & the one was bowled with a straighter one. The handy batting all rounder has got him in all kinds of trouble from around the wicket with his indrifters & off breaks. It is rather hilarious & remarkable.

I see that Devon, at the age of 36, has been recalled to the test side. The WIs can’t be that desperate can they? I mean the guy has a test batting average of 24 after 38 tests lol.

They recalled him on the back of his domestic form -
he was the highest scorer this season, scoring six hundreds in 10 matches.

Tells you what the state of FC cricket is in the Caribbean.
 
West Indies need to pick players on potential rather than FC output since their FC is trash anyway
Hetmyer or Ambris would be way better than this guy, surely
 
I have never thought that a sentence with the word ‘bunny’ and ‘hafeez’ not include the word ‘steyn’
