This is what we saw from Pandya

and the next ball Imam-ul-Haq was gone!

So what happened there?

Yes, its a secret mantra only to be used when India play against Pakistan in World Cup. Always gets the job done.

the only thing supernatural about this is watching an international opening batsman play down the wrong line of a ball that doesn't even deviate an mm off the seam.

one of the most poorly executed strokes ive seen from an international batsman with more than 4000 runs in the long long time ive been watching.

In an interview he said, he was talking to himself to boost his confidence because he wasn't bowling consist line like bumrah.

Not praying...

He was just self loathing and wanted to hide the face while doing so. Humans play cricket according to their abilities. No space for any god there.

Tis a magic chant that's been passed down for generations, only to be used if in a tight spot.

First put into use by Venky Prasad against Aamir Sohail.
Tendulkar allegedly used it during the 2011 world cup lbw referral. You all saw how DRS malfunctioned at the most opportune moment. Not to mention made the Pakistanis all sweaty and sloppy that they dropped him so many times.

In responding to the 'mantra chanting' Hardik in an interview mentioned that he was actually abusing himself for not being able to bowl in the right length.

Seems like Indian team practices spirituality as much as Pak.

First they changed the match date cause the astrology charts were not in their favour and then Pandya chanting and blowing on the ball to get it to move.

Unnecessary comments, spirituality is part of Indian culture from antiquity. Even atheists or non-religious persons can be spiritual, who don't believe in an all-pervading superpower or deity, but believe the 'God' is within and one should try to know himself to understand that more deeply to find one's place within the cosmos.

This man is set to tour Australia in Dec 😃

It looked like he was scolding or telling the ball to please pitch in the right area than any prayer or black magic. If you see teh clip it clearly shows him looking at teh ball with almost half pleading half demanding kinda exptression. I think this happened after the previous ball was hit for a boundary

It held in the pitch a tad longer than usual which could be due to divine intervention
Just like bumrahs wicket of shadab

Are we just going to ignore the colourful language he used after the wicket?

To be honest, im still asking myself how did he get an edge to slip off imam when the pitch offered nothing for pace bowlers

God has too many big and important things to focus on than getting Imam out.
It is a bit insulting to god to ask him for help in cricket matches.

Since Shadab is close to him he should ask which God he prayed to and also do the same. If indeed a prayer resulted in the wicket.

He hit the boundary earlier and expected similar half tracker, but Hadik bowled a full-length freebie this time, and Imam attempted to drive it for another boundary.

You dont need God to intervene to get a pathetic fraud player like Imam out. Pandya was under the pump and Imam, who honestly looks like a walking wicket whenever i see him against a semi-decent team, got shamelessly out.

well if these mind games can work then one should go for it...in imams case it did work lol...i dont mind these things

in that match india was all game previously Kohli was alot more friendly on the field but he started to taunt rizwan for coming late then pandu with this dua thing...they knew these cowards are gonna crumble under pressure...people crying about indians moaking rizwan ...but Rizwan was the same guy praying in front of them almost everyone knew that thing would trigger indians...if you cant take it then don't dish it out simple...same Pakistani fans were asking baap kaun to shami and co after ct 2017 win

it was ridiculous, because an edge wasnt even possible as there was nothing for pacers on the pitch. Couldn't believe it when the ball was flying to the back..

Imam's curse hit him quite badly in this year's IPL :ROFLMAO:
Oh man thats funny! Pandya milked the pak game like crazy.. hope imam doesn't do the same thing in the upcoming t20wc or else pandya ji will milk it again till CT 25 ane get selected under "experience " quota and delivered under "pressure " against " arch rivals" pak in a wc game 🙂

It might be just a coincidence but yes, Hardik is not having a good time after that. Look at his team MI in IPL. It might just be a league thing and we might see Hardik back in full form in the world cup games, who knows. Maybe another prayer starts working for him again. LOL
