What's new

Did Imam-ul-Haq's slow batting cost Pakistan the third ODI against South Africa?

What planet are you guys on? The guy played well and played an anchoring knock and built the platform and helped us get to over 300. You would much rather him play a 30(18) and Pakistan all out for 200. How often do we ever get over 300?

I mean, if you scored 317/8 and still lost the game it's not because of your batsmen.

And SA won because of D/L anyway, so wouldn't read too much into this result. Move on - series is currently at 1-2 with 2 to play.

Rohit played kind of similar knock today. Rohit has done that a lot and team usually wins, even when rohit scores a slow 50. Runs on board, bowlers defend if they are good enough

I'm a bit late but his batting did not cost us the match. He doesn't deserve criticism for this innings. Our other batsmen were scoring runs and we still ended up getting a defendable total. Our bowling after the first break was poor and Sarfaraz Ahmed's captaincy wasn't great, he stuck with Shadab despite the fact he was getting smashed. On top of that, he's a young lad finding his feet in international cricket still.
