I think the saying 'catches win matches' is getting old, and now it should be 'direct throws win matches.'
One of the best things about today’s match was India’s fielding in the inner circle. In fact, India’s inner-circle fielding has always been great. When they come running towards the ball or when the ball comes towards them, they set themselves up well, gather the ball, and always aim for the wickets with a proper throw while maintaining their balance. This is something Australia and South Africa have done a lot.
India was able to set up a good run-out against Imam. The reason Imam even attempted the run is because, in domestic cricket, players often steal such runs, as in domestic cricket, only 1 out of 20 throws hits the stumps.
