Which players should be part of Pakistan's 15-member squad in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025?

Ik this thread will become outdated pretty quickly, but come on, I'm getting annoyed now?

When will they announce the squad? Every other squad has atleast announced a preliminary squad or a full proper squad.

So why isn't the co host nation announcing their squad?

If the delay is due to saim ayub, then just forget about him since it's obvious he ain't gonna be fit in time?

This has gone past the point of being annoying. The tri-series starts in a week. Everyone knows that Saim is out of the tournament. ICC should start imposing so kind of penalties on teams that don't announce their squads within the deadline.

Deadline for final squad is February 12th.

Pakistan did not announce provisional squad even for the World T20.
 
Recurring themes of delay and this PCB

They delayed deadlines for squad retentions in the PSL

They delayed the date for the PSL draft

They produced one of the worst, Pathetic draft shows in the history of franchise draft+auctions having delayed it by 2-3 days

They continue to delay the announcement of the squad for the champion’s trophy.



You expect this kind of B.S from a local cricket club organisation, not the national cricket authority!
 
Is it a typical Pakistani thing to be late or delay things? It makes you look more important than others?

And then you end up losing to USA and Afghanistan in International events, and regularly have the annual India whooping our Tashreef fixture?
 
What’s the issue for the delay?

Rizwan insisting he wants Khushdil, Iftikhar and some of his mates in the side just like Babar threw tantrums before the 2023 World Cup squad announcement?

I agree. @BouncerGuy Bro we've been hearing reports upon reports day by day?

You live in pakistan no? Can't you check? I've heard pcb HQ is in Lahore? Go and check now and ask them. If I were you, I'd go and sit in their office and I wouldn't leave until they would tell me or unless they call security.

it is beyond comprehendation that why they are not announcing squad as all teams have announced it weeks before
 
A squad delay could indicate that they have been sweating over a big decision, like the dropping of a big-name player.
 
Mohsin Naqvi, while addressing the media at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore:

"Today the entire selection committee is sitting together. InshaAllah, the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Pakistan squad will be announced at any time today."

They should have atleast announced a preliminary squad like Australia did and kept saim ayub in.

Once the full squad was announced we'd kick ayub out?

Aus did the same thing, they announced a squad knowing full well Marsh and Cummins aren't fit. Cummins recovered Marsh didn't so now aus will change.

But atleast they didn't make their fans wait.

Knowing rizwan he probably wants players like ifti in.
