Of course they love their team and were there to support them in as loud a fashion as ever.

But the feeling I came away with after watching numerous fights in stands was that there was no love lost between both sets of fans.

The stunned silence when Pakistan were doing well made the you feel you were in Eden Gardens as opposed to the UAE where both nationalities live together.

I would have expected some degree of appreciation for Pakistan from the fans but did not see it

Majority of support was for Afghanistan

One of our fans was showing middle fingers on live television, after that don’t think we should be complaining about Afghan fans :)

I saw an Indian kid showing his middle finger to Dhoni when he got out against HK. And yesterday I saw a Pakistani kid doing the same to the opposition when Asif/Malik hit a six.

What is happening to our future generations...

crowd should be passionate... it makes games more interesting...

Very disappointed.

I read somewhere that you are living in the UAE, MenInG. My experience when I lived there was that Afghans and Pakistanis got along very well there. Some of the posts on PP, and other Pakistani forums about Afghans are actually downright embarrassing to see (Even advocating genocide) and the same on Afghan forums where they hate us so much.

Weirdly, in the UAE, I remember us getting along. Sad to see that it's come to this over there as well. I'm guessing these are more recent expats who have no idea about the solidarity we used to have with each other. Interesting, we also used to get along very well with Indians, and there was very little hate on either side.

It started with low wage expats from India that wrecked the UAE salary market at the time. Since then, the quality of expat in the UAE slowly started going downhill, except for those on the top of their professions.

That 10 year old kid?? I don’t think you can base the whole Pak crowd on this isolated incident.

However, I think it is poor behaviour generally from both fans and it is a shame.

The most sporting crowds are the English without a doubt.

India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan supporters need to get their act together.

I am sorry but i feel Pakistani cricket fans arent passionate enough in spending money to support their team in the stadium. Its is not just about this tournament but has been a trend where Pakistani fans show laziness or lack of interest in buying tickets for the games. In India vs Pakistan game, both set of fans had equal opportunity of buying the tickets but Indian fans turned out in numbers compared to Pakistanis (admittedly i dont know the overall population of Indians and Pakistanis in UAE).

There are more Indians than Pakistanis in Dubai. They outnumber us quite a lot actually.

Not true at all. It's just that more tickets are balloted/sold/black marketed to India.

When things are equal or Pakistan are in a final, see what happens. When Pak played the T20 final in England it looked like the match was being played in Pakistan. The Oval was all green.

Well this picture speaks volumes considering that Rashid match for match relpy was given by a 10 year old passionate kid from the crowd.

I think people are being too soft, if you have ever seen a match in England. The amount of abuse thrown on players is endless. This was nothing in comparison. Plus the audience has no responsibility to not abuse but players on the other hand are supossed to maintain conduct.

The gesture of showing the middle finder was never part of our culture or heritage and holds no meaning. Another bad aspect of western culture we adopted instead of adopting the positives.

It’s fine. I personally have no issues with crowds being partisan.
