Do you miss cars/motorbikes as man of the match/series awards?

I wonder if it's just me or other fans also miss the iconic moments at the end of famous tournaments/matches when a man of the match or series received a motorbike or a car.

Players taking the vehicle on a victory lap made for some truly iconic moments etched in our memories for ever.

I think Sharjah tournaments had these.

Of course who can ever forget 1985 world series final, remembered most for the Audi 100 Ravi Shastri received as player of the tournament. Probably the most iconic award ever.

I think players now also prefer cash awards which can also be distributed between the team if that was pre-agreed by the management.

The car or motor bike did add a sparkle to the closing event and i hear what you are saying.

If I remember correctly, couple of years back Babar Azam received a Super Power bike as an award for being the man of series vs West Indies in UAE.

Quite sure players had the option to choose equivalent amount afterwards.

Ravi Shastri still keeps his Audi 100 though. It's actually an Indian cricket heritage property now

No, most of those are cars and bikes are ugly. You would never see a pro sportsman that makes millions drive those kinds of cars plus it's a hassle to pay the tax and ship them back to their homecountry and modify them. Cash awards are much better.
