As technology continues to advance, we see artificial intelligence (AI) becoming a bigger part of our daily lives. AI-based online agents can answer questions, provide information, and even offer personalized advice on various topics. This progress leads us to wonder: Could there be a time when AI replaces Islamic scholars in guiding people on religious matters?

The Limitations of AI:

While AI can access a lot of data and respond quickly, Islamic scholars bring something special to the table. They have deep understanding, wisdom, and real-life experience that helps them interpret religious texts. They consider not just the words, but also the moral and spiritual well-being of individuals.

Let's discuss whether technology can truly replicate the personal touch and insight that human guidance provides. Can AI become a reliable companion for seeking Islamic knowledge, or are there aspects that require a human touch?

AI based Islamic scholars could be beneficial in providing references but for proper context and explanation of a text one would still resort to an expert Muslim scholar.

I don't think so and I also hope not.

Many issues need to be handled on a case by case basis. AIs are not good solutions for this.
