3lac PKR per month basic salary. Endorsements add on. Any crap global league add on.

Performance accountability: None. Can get away because everyone in the squad is in the same boat.

It's a good time to be a cricketer in Pakistan. At the expense of cricket.

Agha or any one can sleep infact instead of yawning with out any responsibility. Pak lost against USA,Ireland,nz d in t20s.almost got whitewashed in t20s against nz.whitewash in test series in aus and loosing a match against bng.Most of these matches happened under good coaches and few more losses/wins(t20 wc ind,ireland etc) are quite bizarre too .Seriously some one should kick the butt of all the players and should drive the team like border.Does any one have such brains or willingness to do it?.Still eng,aus tour is waiting for pak to round off a miserable year

Current state of Pakistan cricket can be simply analysed by a fact that a nation with population of around 235 million has failed to produce proper world-class batsman, fast bowler and a spinner in last 20 years. On the other hand small nations (Ireland, USA, Zimbabwe) who doesn't even have good number of cricket fans are defeating Pakistan time & again. Bangladesh had defeated NZ in NZ in a test match, so they are not minnows

It's not the nation. It's the administration.

To be clear, I am in no way holding these 3 responsible for the defeat, instead just commenting on the demeanour as example of our situation which is a mixture of despair, hopelessness and anger.

Agree. There were plenty of issues in pre 2003 era as well but at that someone like Waqar was sitting on bench when Shoaib came, Aaqib was not regular when Wasim-Waqar were there, Moin & Rashid always had a competition for wicket keeping spot, Saqlain & Mushtaq were specialist spinners, Abdul Razzaq & Azhar Mahmood were all-rounders. After 2003 total mediocrity, incompetency and self glorification were promoted in the team.

Pakistan and Zimbabwe are the only teams without a home Test win in the last 3 years. Nine home Tests since August 2021, and still no victory.

Pakistan cricket is basically another failed state owned enterprise like PIA. Forget talk of wakeup calls. A dead person cannot respond to a wake up call. We're finished.

Most PCB Chairs are only interested in appearing busy than doing anything of substance.

The players give lip service about "playing fearless cricket" but are mentally checked out and looking to earn whatever cash they can, while they can. Gillespie and Kirsten must already be thinking about their next gig. The selectors deep down know there's no talent.

In the 2000s there was talk of decline then but you kept hope some young gem would emerge. Now look at the state of the Shaheens teams and their recent series where 35 year old never wases are being selected.

The antiquated state of our grounds and pitches are also indicative of where we stand as a cricket nation. Test Cricket in Pakistan has all the vibrancy and enthusiasm of a morgue at midnight.

I've never felt such hopelessness in our cricket, and the scary part is things can only get worse. Who sees us levelling this series let alone taking a Test off England or South Africa ?

Absolutely agree.

As I have saud before - test cricket is finished in all except the big 3 countries. Pak should just stop playing tests and focus solely on t20
