It's not the nation. It's the administration.Current state of Pakistan cricket can be simply analysed by a fact that a nation with population of around 235 million has failed to produce proper world-class batsman, fast bowler and a spinner in last 20 years. On the other hand small nations (Ireland, USA, Zimbabwe) who doesn't even have good number of cricket fans are defeating Pakistan time & again. Bangladesh had defeated NZ in NZ in a test match, so they are not minnows
Agree. There were plenty of issues in pre 2003 era as well but at that someone like Waqar was sitting on bench when Shoaib came, Aaqib was not regular when Wasim-Waqar were there, Moin & Rashid always had a competition for wicket keeping spot, Saqlain & Mushtaq were specialist spinners, Abdul Razzaq & Azhar Mahmood were all-rounders. After 2003 total mediocrity, incompetency and self glorification were promoted in the team. It's not the nation. It's the administration.
The nation has succumbed to the pressures and given up.
I've never felt such hopelessness in our cricket, and the scary part is things can only get worse. Who sees us levelling this series let alone taking a Test off England or South Africa?
Each and everyone in this team has regressed and doesn't seem like they're going to improve anytime soon.
