Well should give credit where it’s due. Yes he was rubbish all these 3 years and struggling to score runs. He has battled hard, this is the format where he managed to score runs and strike rate didn’t matter. If he is pulling up his socks going out and there leading from the front then good things will follow along with victories hopefully soon.

Nevertheless he has to show massive improvement in his captaincy , on field tactics, decision making, bowling changes etc.

I’m very disappointed with the form and runs babar has scored this series. He hasn’t scored a century yet which is shocking. Only Shan and Azhar has scored hundreds and a big one 156 and 141 respectively.

Azhar Ali batted really well & I'm OK with him staying in the XI now. But his captaincy has been awful. He needs to go as a captain and Babar should be the test captain IMO. The fab 4 (Kohli, Smith, Root, Williamson) are test captain and Babar should also be the test captain completing the fab 5.

Do you have a clue about test cricket ? . It’s looking likely that it maybe a potential match saving one . It’s impossible for them to win the match given the first innings score of England , as well as other factors including the weather .

He averaged 11 outside Asia over 20 innings since May 2017 before his 141*. 1 fantastic match saving knock does not paper over those numbers, especially for a #3 batsman. He has had plenty of chances to score match winning knocks, such as in the first Test.
