U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that a "complete and total" ceasefire between Israel and Iran will go into force with a view to ending the conflict between the two nations.

Trump appeared to suggest that Israel and Iran would have some time to complete any missions that are underway, at which point the ceasefire would begin in a staged process.

The US “got Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Iran”, a diplomat briefed on the negotiations told Fox News.

Donald Trump is then said to have asked Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the emir of Qatar, to get Iran to follow suit. Tehran reportedly agreed to a ceasefire following discussions with the Qatari prime minister.

“The deal was coordinated at the highest level by the president and vice president [JD Vance] and the Qatari emir and prime minister directly,” the diplomat said.

I wouldn't trust a tweet like that especially given the time.

The real barometer are the markets.

Current pre trading before ANZ opens - VIX, Gold, Silver, US crude Oil - all in the red.

This means flight from fear into equities.

If Israel had dropped a missile on Tehran (not a nuclear site) after Trump's announcement then VIX, Gold, Oil would be going through the roof, while the rest of the markets would be in bloodbath red.
 
The myth of US/Israel deterrence is no more, Iran has done a good job overall but it should act wiser in the future.

Develop strategic partnerships with your neighbours, go after agents in your country, stop funding proxies, stop destabilising the Sunni ME. Self reliance is good but they don’t have a lot of real allies and a lot of enemies, they are cornered in the region but fight valiantly.

We need to stop taking UK / US seriously when it comes to right and wrong and writing law and order for us.

According to their own whims and desires they let whoever break these treaties and ceasefires (let alone themselves lol) and then go after whoever they like.

These 12 days have brutally exposed Israel and esp US. The beghairat gulf leadership also exposed as weak and pathetic.

What Israel and Iran have in common: Both coordinated their attacks with the United States.

I heard the news that Iran break the Trump ceasefire just like Pakistan break for few hour's and fired Missiles toward Israel. A residential building directly impacted and atleast 3 fatalities confirmed.

People should just stay in their bunkers until full ceasefire takes effect. There has already been reported deaths. What a crazy world we live in. Innocent people dying only to satisfy men in powers ambitions and desires.
 
Israel has announced the closure of its airspace until further notice.

According to some reports Large amount of Israeli fighter-jets are on their way to Iran after ira break the ceasefire.

Despite the Iranian state media claiming the last barrage of missile was fired before the ceasefire, another alert for incoming missiles is now reported in the north of Israel.

Real winner USA . Stamped the World superpower hegemony and at the same time announced the ceasefire.

Israel achieved their objective of this operation by removing Iranian nuclear threat but face some losses like 40 death and uncountable injured People+ Alots infrastructure Damaged.

Iran - nothing to gained but only loss interm of High ranking offical like scientists , Millitary personal and Total destruction of Millitary bases.

Most important they lost the nuclear facilities which was hard to achieved .

Netanyahu says Israel has achieved ‘all objectives’ of operation against Iran

Here are the details from the Israeli statement.

It said Netanyahu met his cabinet along with the minister of defence and the head of the Mossad last night “to report that Israel had achieved all of the objectives of Operation Rising Lion, and much more”.

“Israel has removed a dual immediate existential threat – both in the nuclear and ballistic missile fields,” the statement said.

The Israeli military “achieved full air control over Tehran’s skies, inflicted severe damage on the military leadership, and destroyed dozens of central Iranian government targets”, it said.

“In light of the achievement of the operation’s objectives, and in full coordination with President Trump, Israel has agreed to the president’s proposal for a bilateral ceasefire,” it added.

“Israel will respond forcefully to any violation of the ceasefire.”

State media report that the six people were spying for Israel’s Mossad agency and were arrested in the western province of Hamadan.

The “traitor elements” were arrested in the cities of Hamadan, Razan and Nahavand in the province, Ali Akbar Karimpour, a local IRGC official, was quoted as saying.

They are accused of engaging in “targeted activity” online with the goal of creating “public anxiety, blackening the image of the Iranian establishment, and tarnishing its image”, he added.

Iran has arrested dozens and executed several people for spying for Israel since the start of the war.

Iran is rejecting Israeli claims that it fired missiles at Israel after agreeing to a ceasefire, according to the IRIB broadcaster and the ISNA news agency.

The reports came as Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz accused Iran of violating the truce and ordered “intense strikes” on Tehran.

Earlier, Israeli media reported that the military intercepted two ballistic missiles launched from Iran.

Trump says both Israel and Iran violated the ceasefire

He said both Israel and Iran violated a ceasefire he announced hours earlier and he was not happy with either country but especially Israel.

Speaking to reporters before leaving for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump said Israel "unloaded" right after agreeing to the deal.

He also said Iran's nuclear capabilities are gone.

He told reporters that he thinks both sides “violated it”.

“I’m not sure they did it intentionally. They couldn’t reign people back,” he said.

But Trump said he is especially displeased with Israel, which “dropped a load of bombs the likes of which I’ve never seen” right after agreeing to a truce.

“When I say, ‘you have 12 hours’, you don’t go out in the first hour and just drop everything you have on them,” Trump complained.

“We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f*** they’re doing”, Trump concluded before boarding the Marine One aircraft.
