Trump is basically going to be a mix of Warren Harding and Hoover as president.

I personally like this. It will be an interesting experience to see Billionaire Businessmen run the govt for a change. Why not run Govt like a private business for a change, there is no harm in trying a new and different model, this is what the American people voted for, change and some thing new.
I am going to give Trump a chance. Our politicians who are supposed to be "experts" in running things have gotten us to almost $20 Trillion in debt. How much worse can the business people get. Hoping for a complete change in the way things are done.
I see what you're saying but there's a big conflict of interest issue here.
Vox's Brad Plumer reported that between 2011 and 2013, Exxon Mobil signed a series of deals with the Russian state-owned oil giant Rosneft to explore the Black Sea, develop shale resources in western Siberia, and drill for oil in the Arctic, one of the biggest untapped fossil fuel resources left in the world.
After Obama announced sanctions on Russia and their oil industry in 2014, Exxon was forced to stop work. Tillerson himself owns $218 million in Exxon stock and a pension reportedly worth $70 million - so how can he impartial on the issue of sanctions ?!
Not to mention appointing a Big Oil exec as Secretary of State is a huge slap in the face of any attempts to do anything substantial on one of the biggest issues that faces the planet which is climate change.
On Thursday, Donald Trump announced his pick for ambassador to Israel: a bankruptcy lawyer named David Friedman. Friedman, who has been a personal friend of Trump’s for about 15 years, has no government experience to speak of.
What Friedman does have is opinions — specifically, what appears to be the most hard-right approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict of any US ambassador to Israel in history.
Friedman has called the two-state solution “a suicidal ‘peace’ with hateful radical Islamists hell bent on Israel’s destruction.” American Jews who support that approach, are in Friedman’s eyes, “worse” than kapos — Jews who helped the Nazis run concentration camps in exchange for special privileges. Here’s the full quote, from a May op-ed in the right-wing Israeli publication Arutz Sheva:
Finally, are [American pro-peace lobby] J Street supporters really as bad as kapos? The answer, actually, is no. They are far worse than kapos – Jews who turned in their fellow Jews in the Nazi death camps. The kapos faced extraordinary cruelty and who knows what any of us would have done under those circumstances to save a loved one? But J Street? They are just smug advocates of Israel’s destruction delivered from the comfort of their secure American sofas – it’s hard to imagine anyone worse.
Friedman has, by his own telling, used this comparison repeatedly.
When asked to repudiate it earlier in December, he refused. “Mr. Friedman declined to disavow the comments and even intensified the sentiment,” the New York Times reports.
So Friedman openly sides against longstanding American policy towards Israel, insults Jews who disagree with him in some of the most offensive terms possible, and has zero formal diplomatic experience.
But I thought Trump was going to stand up to the Zionist lobby ?!
Trump's pick for Israel ambassador thinks liberal Jews are "worse" than Nazi collaborators

Kushner is a supporter of Zionists and actually donates to the cause so dunno why you had a different expectation.
Trump's registry plans and his general anti Muslim bigotry is there for us all to see yet Obama somehow portrays himself as a friend of the Muslim community whilst his agencies spy on them at home and bomb them abroad.
Obama is a PR machine. He knows the words to use to charm the public and make them side with him. He was even worse than Bush when it came to targeting unarmed, innocent civilians in foreign nations. Yet Bush got a much worse reputation for doing that. Obama knows his way around words, this is why the public is so easily fooled by him.Trump's registry plans and his general anti Muslim bigotry is there for us all to see yet Obama somehow portrays himself as a friend of the Muslim community whilst his agencies spy on them at home and bomb them abroad.

Trump is an idiot but the UN is useless so he isn't wrong
The United Nations is the global definition of a White Elephant.
Trump is calling it as it is, and Hillary would have been the last person to do this.
in all honesty he is 100% correct here
i was a volunteer at one of the meets a few years ago and all that happened in the week was partying, booze and sex. Atleast on the extended delgations' part who also happen to be younger folks
Not a fan of Trump but he is right here. UN is useless
Whatever happened to the anti-establishment, anti-globalist working class crusader who was going to "drain the swamp" of corruption in Washington ?
Not since the Eisenhower Administration have so many business executives landed top government jobs. Let's take his appointments. Goldman Sachs president Gary Cohn is to lead the White House National Economic Council.
He joins former Goldman Sachs colleagues Steven Mnuchin - the incoming Treasury Secretary, and Steve Bannon - the new senior White House adviser.
We have a new head of the EPA, Scott Pruitt, who has fought tooth and nail against every common sense climate regulation during the Obama Administration, and is a climate change skeptic, as well as a key ally of the fossil fuel lobby. Then there's Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, frontrunner to become Interior Secretary. Fallin is a climate change denier and was one of the first governors to oppose the Clean Power Plan.
And the head of one of the largest oil companies on the planet is now the most powerful Foreign Minister in the world.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Donald's bff, Putin, blackmailing him![]()

After Mr. Trump’s Inaugural Address there were benedictions from Rabbi Marvin Hier, founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center; the Rev. Franklin Graham, reprising a role his father, the Rev. Billy Graham, often played; and Bishop Wayne T. Jackson, who runs Great Faith Ministries International and Impact Network, which calls itself the only Christian television network founded and operated by African-Americans.
They have English sounding names if they are have been living in England for generations. Similarly French names if in France, Russian if in Russia ....etc. I once read a book about Jewish migrations around Europe (written by a prominent Jew from one of the Jewish dynasty's - Goldberg I think) where the writer stated that Jews were encouraged to alter their names to fit in with the local cultures and naming conventions of wherever they lived. From what I see here, Jewish and Christian people have good relations. They frequently intermarry and do not hesitate to attend each others functions. This is exactly what makes them a great country.
Just recently I realized that my boss is a Jewish woman. I always thought she was Christian as she is very active during Christmas and decorates her cube so much. In fact many people whom I thought are Christian were in fact Jewish. They all have English sounding names.
But not good for Jews in general. As per the earlier post, if the practice of Jews marrying non-Jews became too widespread, then the Jewish race will start becoming diluted, and with the relatively low number of Jews overall, the Jewish race will risk being assimilated and completely disappearing over time as a distinct and separate race. It is only by adhering to strict practices of only marrying within the Jewish community that has enabled the Jews, over thousands of years, to keep their separate identity as a race.^ Marrying non-jews might be a recent phenomenon, but it is great for USA.
There's zero chance of that happening any time soon, given how rapidly Ultra Orthodox Jews are reproducing. But not good for Jews in general. From above article. You weren't mistaken.
He read out.
"By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion... If I forget you, Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth, if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy."
This was to say Isreal has someone who also wants Jerusalem as their undivided capital.
Followed by the rabbi saying "Israel first, Israel first, ......""America first! America first!" "Make American, Hire American" "Make a America Great Again"
I don't agree with him but he gave a moving speech today, and spoke quite well though came off as confrontational. His speech writer did a good job overall, and Trump spoke quite confidently.
U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has instructed the Environmental Protection Agency to remove the climate change page from its website, two agency employees told Reuters, the latest move by the newly minted leadership to erase ex-President Barack Obama's climate change initiatives.
The employees were notified by EPA officials on Tuesday that the administration had instructed EPA's communications team to remove the website's climate change page, which contains links to scientific global warming research, as well as detailed data on emissions. The page could go down as early as Wednesday, the sources said.
"If the website goes dark, years of work we have done on climate change will disappear," one of the EPA staffers told Reuters, who added some employees were scrambling to save some of the information housed on the website, or convince the Trump administration to preserve parts of it.
Trump is generally living up to his electoral promises so far, which as well as being potentially a good thing if you voted for him, is not a good thing for the majority of the rest of the known universe.
Jeez god forbid America starts looking after its own citizens first. The rest of the world would have to solve their own problems and stop mooching off of our taxes.

The rest of the world would be happy if America starts minding it's own business instead of bombing every second country

Not going to argue that. The world would love Americans to pursue America 1st.
more like friends and family first.. How else can you justify DeVos or him criticizing Nordstrom for dropping his daughter's (made outside of USA) clothing lin?
Don't expect a reasoned reply, I tried for 6 months and all I heard back was "Hillary was worse, you're brainwashed by MSM etc". The fact is this man ran on a ticket of draining the swamp and cleaning up Washington but Crooked Donald's hypocrisy has been laid bare.
It was always obvious to any objective mind before the election. His conflicts of interest, the appointment of oil exec Tillerson as Sec of State (a man with no diplomatic experience), DeVos and the litany of Goldman Sachs cabinet appointees show Trump has no interest in taking on the multinationals, the special interests and lobbyists.
The only reason DeVos has been appointed Education Secretary with the task of annihilating public education is because she's donated hundreds of millions of dollars to Republican super PACs and millions to Republican Senators over the years.
He's planning on massive tax giveaways to the rich and is going to strip away even Obama's timid attempts at banking regulation. If anyone ever needed an example of the corrupting influence of special interests - it was that picture of JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon sitting next to Trump as he pledged to destroy Dodd-Frank the other day.
That policy has failed in the past and will fail. Half of what America is today is because of immigrants. If only things were so black and white right? There is a reason every single economist thinks such move would be a disaster but Trump with no background except being a TV celebrity and failed businessmen and his racist chamchas (some of whom are desis) know better than all of them

Garbage CNN fake news talking points. DeVos is a strong proponent of charter schooling and everyone knows Republicans want private schooling. I grew up in a private school in India, its a good system and can be proven to be run better than public. Nordstrom caved to whiny far lefters and Trump slammed them back, its what he does.
Its real cute to see Hillary supporters talk about conflicts of interests or pay to play, like they have any say in that matter![]()

President Trump's UK visit 'could be switched to Birmingham'

) On a level, we should give him an open invitation to visit Alum Rock; welcome him with open arms and then take him for a curry on ladypool road. He is insane but we can be the bigger person with our act of kindness despite his bigotry, it won't change his ideas but will reflect well on the second city and all we stand for

I was thinking about taking him to the Bull Ring but might start riding the bronze bull we have there. Maybe a trip to Villa Park, the billionaire could invest to take Villa to Champions League glory.![]()
CNN talking points? Hilary supporter? Relax!...and just so you know I didn't vote this election and voted for Romney in 2012.
You might have grown up in a private school in India but I actually LIVE in the Detroit area where DeVos has so called pushed for her charter school system. If you ever get a chance please do come out here and see what state the city is in. A charter/private system will NOT work in a city massively drowning in poverty, organized crime, and a dwindling population. Also, a city that has miraculously come out of the largest municipal bankruptcy. Majority of the population that lives in Detroit city is African American and have a staggering high school graduation rate of 10%. Please explain how a charter system will actually make things better when almost 1 out 3 families are entirely living on welfare?
And here is the official statement from Nordstrom after this whole Ivanka thing:
"We made this decision based on performance. Over the past year, and particularly in the last half of 2016, sales of the brand have steadily declined to the point where it didn't make good business sense for us to continue with the line for now. We've had a great relationship with the Ivanka Trump team and had open conversations with them over the past year to share what we've seen and Ivanka was personally informed of our decision in early January."
so there goes your conspiracy theory of being pressured by the left. If you've ever shopped at Nordstrom regularly you'd know they have lots of brands that prop up for a season or two.
I get you dislike the Democrats but that doesn't mean you should be blindly supporting Trump in anything he decides to do. I'm sure the private school system you're so proud to come from has taught you to objectively evaluate things without having preconceived notions.
Donald Trump explaining the finer details of a nuclear weapons programme.“You know what uranium is, right? It’s this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.”
